And that is a wrap from boxing. Hop on over to our coverage of the Women's Squash final and the Men's hockey Bronze medal match later.

12:49 (IST)1 SEP 2018

And that now means that this is India's best-ever Medals Tally at an Asian Games. India now have 66 medals. Their tally of 14 GOLD is only one behind the inaugural Asian Games, where they won 15.

12:48 (IST)1 SEP 2018

What a finish for India in Boxing. Amit bags GOLD courtesy of a sensational upset.

12:44 (IST)1 SEP 2018

This was a sensational fight from Amit, who was consistently brilliant in the final and the Olympic champion has to settle for Silver. What a bout that was and what a year this has been for the 22-year-old Amit.

12:43 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit was brilliantly tactically and the Indian boxer picks up GOLD in the Men's Light Fly 49kg.

12:42 (IST)1 SEP 2018

And by a split decision, AMIT has WON.

12:42 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Now the anxious wait begins.

12:42 (IST)1 SEP 2018

It has been sensational from Amit and it is all over. But will he walk away with GOLD?

12:41 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Dusmatov is in all kinds of pressure here as Amit has been great in every round so far.

12:41 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit has been brilliant at evading punches that aren't from up close and he has been doing that all game long.

12:41 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Dusmatov needs to get closer and with just a minute left, he isn't looking so great so far.

12:40 (IST)1 SEP 2018

But with less than 90 seconds left, it is the Indian who has the upper hand.

12:40 (IST)1 SEP 2018

For once, Dusmatov, has not been able to get the better of Amit tactically.

12:39 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit is in and out sharply early in the third round and he has created some many good angles.

12:39 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Everything is on the line and Dusmatov needs to make it count now and he cannot leave it too late or to his reputation.

12:38 (IST)1 SEP 2018

The pressure is on the reigning Olympic champion to come out all guns blazing in the third round.

12:38 (IST)1 SEP 2018

At the end of the second round, Amit is still very much in the contest.

12:38 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit has been incredibly effective at responding to any threat posed by the Uzbekistan boxer.

12:37 (IST)1 SEP 2018

That was incredibly sharp from Amit but he has to wait and bide his time.

12:37 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Dusmatov is starting to respond and with a minute to go in the second round, the tide is starting to change.

12:36 (IST)1 SEP 2018

But the Uzbekistan boxer knows that he has plenty of time in his hands and is slowly kicking into top gear.

12:36 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Dusmatov is having a few problems and Amit has dominated so far from close quarters.

12:35 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit looks very sharp today and is looking like he is on course to repeat if not better his heroics from the Commonwealth games earlier this year when he won SILVER.

12:35 (IST)1 SEP 2018

And we are underway in the second round as both boxers are taking things slow to begin with.

12:34 (IST)1 SEP 2018

At the end of the first round, this doesn't look like it is going to be a close contest.

12:33 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit has delivered a couple of sharp right hand punches but both fighters have been on the offensive in the first round.

12:33 (IST)1 SEP 2018

There is a slight delay with just a minute to go in the first period as Hasanboy's laces need to be tied.

12:32 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Every time Hasanboy goes on the offensive, Amit comes right back.

12:32 (IST)1 SEP 2018

This has been excellent from both boxers, who are going all out early and keep each other guessing.

12:31 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Amit is clear that he isn't just going stand and around before handing over the gold medal to Hasanboy.

12:31 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Hasanboy goes on the offensive immediately and the southpaw lands a few quick punches to start the bout.

12:30 (IST)1 SEP 2018

And now we are underway.

12:30 (IST)1 SEP 2018

He is followed by India's Amit Panghal. Both boxers are getting ready.

12:29 (IST)1 SEP 2018

And it is finally time. 2016 Olympic Champion Hasanboy walks out to the ring.

12:24 (IST)1 SEP 2018

12:17 (IST)1 SEP 2018

We are now less than 15 minutes away from the bout. Will it be Uzbekistan or India who walk away with the GOLD?

12:09 (IST)1 SEP 2018

While Hasanboy Dusmatov has been absolutely clinical in each bout so far and has stormed his way to the final, Amit had a slight scare in the semi-final after cruising till then. But both boxers will need to be on their A-game if they are to walk away with the GOLD.

Boxing has exactly gone according to plan for India at the Asian Games 2018. Vikas Krishnan, who was one of the favorites to claim the GOLD, had to settle for Bronze after he was deemed medically unfit to take part in his semi-final bout.

Aside from that, India haven't got another medal in the sport although that will change after Amit Panghal's bout, which will be India's last attempt to claim a medal in boxing at the Asian Games 2018.

11:23 (IST)1 SEP 2018

India already have 65 medals so far at the Asian Games 2018. That equals their best-ever medals tally at the Games, which they previously achieved at the Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou. With two medals, one of them in boxing, already assured, India will have their highest-ever tally. But how many will they finish with eventually?

11:08 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Here is a look at where India stand at the Asian Games 2018 Medal Tally.

11:03 (IST)1 SEP 2018

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Men's Light Fly 49kg Final between India's Amit Panghal and Uzbekistan's Hasanboy Dusmatov.

09:29 (IST)1 SEP 2018

The final of the Men's Light Fly 49kg at the Asian Games 2018 between India's Amit Panghal and Uzbekistan's Hasanboy Dusmatov will take place at 12.30 PM IST.

09:28 (IST)1 SEP 2018

As we head into the final day of the Asian Games 2018, India have already equaled their best ever medal tally at an Asian Games. With 65 medals already in the bag and a couple of more assured, India will be looking to break another record as they go searching for three more golds to break their record of most GOLD medals at an Asian Games.

India are currently in eighth place at the Asian Games 2018 Medal Tally and enjoyed an incredible run in Athletics where they finished with 19 medals, including seven GOLD, 10 Silver and two Bronze medals. In no other sport have then won more than two GOLDs, which speaks volumes about their domination in Athletics.

On the final day of action at the Asian Games, India will be looking to add to their medal tally and the games on a high. Although this has been a slightly disappointing showing from India in Boxing, where going into the final day, they only have one medal to their name, India have a chance to finish with GOLD.

A gold medal is up for grabs in the men's light fly 49kg category as India's Amit Panghal takes on Uzbekistan's Hasanboy Dusmatov in the final. Although Amit is assured of at least Silver already, he will be hoping to finish with a flourish and end India's campaign in Boxing at the Asian Games 2018 on a high.
