Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's LIVE coverage of the 2018 Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang!

Day 12 marked the concluding day of Athletics and all of India's 5 medals came from it on the day. The major upset was the Men's Hockey team losing to Malaysia in the semifinals in heart-breaking fashion on penalies.

Yesterday, the stellar Women's 4×400m relay team lived up to expectations and strategically won a gold for the fifth consecutive time in the Asian Games! The men's relay team also showed enough grit to finish second on the podium!

However, it was armyman Jinson Johnson who outsped his opponents in the 1500m run at the Asian Games, to clinch a gold that had us all beaming proud.

Chitra Unnikrishnan also took a bronze home in the Women's 1500 event, with Seema Punia finishing 3rd and taking home a medal of the same colour in Women's Discus throw.

After a whirlwind but extremely rewarding two weeks, we are here now at the penultimate day of the Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, with the closing ceremony scheduled on 2nd September. India has been immensely decorated at the track and field events this year as the medals came pouring in. A total of 19 medals (including 7 golds) came from Athletics, making it the largest contributor to India's overall medal tally.

India will look to add to its medal tally on Day 13 and surpass their all-time best medal haul of 65.

The following events are scheduled in Cycling:

(7:52 am) Men's Keirin, Round 1 - Ranit Singh & Esow

(8:26 am) Women's 3000m Individual Pursuit, Qualification - Chaoba Devi [Finals @ 2:57 pm]

The Indians will be hoping to make a mark as they have not managed to pick up a medal in the sport thus far!!
