India have won the second set in the match as Maldives fail to launch a comeback after a couple of good points at a stretch. They put up a good fight in the second set.

India are close to winning the second set now as the score stands 23-19 in their favour.

India go on a solid run and have notched four quick points to make it 20-16

Maldives do well to cover the deficit and have made it all square at 16-16 in the second set.

India have taken a 5-2 lead in quick time and look comfortable at the net.

India play their third match in Pool F of the preliminary round after winning one (Hong Kong, China) and losing one (Qatar). They currently occupy the second position on the group table and will be hoping to get the win today and secure a spot in the Classification round.

India's quest for a volleyball medal at the Asian Games 2018 will continue as the men take to the court against the side from Maldives.

The Indian team has played two matches so far with one win and a loss against Hong Kong, China and Qatar respectively. They will be hoping to get in the winning form again after the straight sets loss against the team from Qatar in their previous match.

Experienced players such as Mohan Ukkrapandian, Gurinder Singh, Jerome C Vinith and Ranjit Singh will be key for India to get the win.

They will be raring to go to end the medal drought for India in the sport of volleyball since the men had won the bronze medal back at the Seoul Asian Games in 1986.
