A day that promised so much ended in disappointment for India despite picking up a bronze medal. They had four shooters in contention for a medal on day 6. Manu Bhaker, who won the Commonwealth Games gold earlier this year struggled and finished fifth.

India will be looking to improve their tally on day seven when the Men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Qualification-Stage 2 takes place along with the final. As the Indian shooters try to remain in contention for a medal on day 6, India are off the mark with Bronze in rowing thanks to Dushyant Chauhan who finished third in the Men's Lightweight Single Sculls.

As things stand there are three events on for India simultaneously in Shooting. While the Men's 300m Standard Rifle is the final where Amit Kumar and Harjinder Singh will be eyeing gold, women’s 10m air pistol and men’s 25m rapid fire pistol are both just the qualification.
