Asian Games 2018 Shooting Day 6 Live Score: Heena Sidhu wins Bronze in 10m Air Pistol

A day that promised so much ended in disappointment for India despite picking up a bronze medal. They had four shooters in contention for a medal on day 6. Of the lot, only Heena Sidhu, who won BRONZE in the Women's 10m Air Pistol had any medal to show for her effort. Manu Bhaker, who won the Commonwealth Games gold earlier this year struggled and finished fifth.

While the Men's 300m Standard Rifle Final saw India's Harjinder Singh and Amit Kumar finish fourth and fifth respectively. India will be looking to improve their tally on day seven when the Men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Qualification-Stage 2 takes place along with the final. And it is all over. China win GOLD, South Korea take Silver and India finish with Bronze.

Heena Sidhu wins BRONZE. And another medal for India in shooting at the Asian Games 2018.

So near yet so far. All she needed was a 10.2 to secure Silver but she shoots a 9.6

Iran have been eliminated and India have been assured of another medal in shooting.

Manu Bhaker finishes fifth. Heena Sidhu is currently fourth and India still have a chance of at least one medal.

Korea's Kwak is the next to be eliminated. Both Indians still in contention for a medal.

Chinese Taipei's Yu is the first to be eliminated.

Now after two shots, the lowest score will be eliminated.

After 10 shots, Heena Sidhu is facing elimination.

Both Indians are struggling so far. They haven't been able to consistently to score 10s just yet.

At the end of the first series, India are fifth and sixth. Heena Sidhu has been alright but Manu Bhaker has struggled so far.

Manu Bhaker shoots a 8.8 and is off to a bad start. But still plenty of time left.

We are now just minutes away from the start of the Women's 10m Air Pistol Final. India's Manu Bhaker was third and Heena Sidhu was seventh in the qualification. Now it is down to eight shooters to determine who will walk away with a gold medal.

Qualification Stage 2 in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol and the Finals will take place on Saturday (tomorrow).

At the end of the Qualification Stage 1 in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, India's Anish is in third place while Shivam Shukla is joint-tenth.

And it is all over in the Men's 300m Standard Rifle Harjinder Singh and Amit Kumar finish fourth and fifth as South Korea take Gold and Bronze while Saudi Arabia walk away with silver.

More good news for India from rowing. It is now three medals in rowing: GOLD in Men’s Quadruple Sculls, BRONZE in Men’s Lightweight Doubles Sculls, Men’s Lightweight Single Sculls.

In the Men's 300m Standard Rifle, Harjinder Singh and Amit Kumar are currently fourth and fifth. They are slowly closing the gap on the top three.

ICYMI: On day six, India has already won two bronze medals in rowing. First in the Men's Lightweight Single Sculls and then the Men's Lightweight Double Sculls.

In the Men's 300m Standard Rifle, Amit Kumar and Harjinder Singh are currently in fifth and sixth.

The Women's 10m Air Pistol Final is scheduled to commence at 11:30 am IST.

And it is all over in the Women's 10m Air Pistol Qualification. Both Manu Bhaker and Heena Sidhu are through to the final.

With Manu Bhaker in third and now Heena in fifth, India look like they might have two shooters in the Women's 10m Air Pistol final after all.

You can't keep a good shooter down for so long and out of nowhere Heena Sidhu has rocketed up the leader board to fifth place.

After an impressive start Harjinder Singh has fallen away. Right now, the two Indian shooters are in seventh and eighth and are looking unlikely to walk away with a medal in the Men's 300m Standard Rifle.

Even as Heena Sidhu continues to struggle, Manu Bhaker climbs into the top three after 400 shots.

In the men's 25m rapid fire pistol after Stage 1, Shivam Shukla is 4th in his relay with a score of 289. Anish Bhanwala is yet to start.

It has been a very good start from Harjinder Singh, who is now up to fourth spot. India's other medal hope in the Men's 300m Standard Rifle, Amit Kumar, is in 10th.

As the Indian shooters try to remain in contention for a medal on day 6, India are off the mark with Bronze in rowing thanks to Dushyant Chauhan who finished third in the Men's Lightweight Single Sculls.

Heena Sidhu hasn't quite found her range just yet but Manu Bhaker is slowly moving up the leader board. Now both Indian women are in the top 15 while Manu is fifth, Heena is 14th.

As things stand there are three events on for India simultaneously in Shooting. While the Men's 300m Standard Rifle is the final where Amit Kumar and Harjinder Singh will be eyeing gold, women’s 10m air pistol and men’s 25m rapid fire pistol are both just the qualification.

And we are underway in the 300m Men's Standard Rifle Final as well.

Heena Sidhu and Manu Bhaker walked away with Gold and Silver in the 10m air pistol at the Commonwealth Games but so far they are looking unlikely to repeat that in the Asian Games 2018.
