Day 6 was the best day for India in terms of the medals won, with a total of 7 coming home! India's team of Sawarn Singh, Daatu Bhokanal, Daatu Bhokanal, and Sukhmeet Singh won GOLD Men's Quadruple Sculls. Dushyant also bagged a Bronze medal for India in Rowing -- Men's Lightweight Single Sculls. Another Bronze came as Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh finished third in the Final of Men's Lightweight Double Sculls. India’s Shooting sensation Heena Sidhu finished third in Women's 10m Air Pistol to bag Bronze!

India’s Tennis Men's Doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan grabbed the GOLD medal after defeating Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik & Denis Yevseyev 6-3, 6-4 in the Final. Meanwhile, Prajnesh Gunneswaran's loss in the Men's Singles Semis meant that the ace Indian player would have to settle for a Bronze medal. There was another huge upset in Kabaddi as the Indian Women's team lost to Iran in the final, and bagged the silver medal.

Squash action continues on Day 7. There have been no medals for India on the Day.

Dipika lost her semifinal clash against Nicol David 3-0. The onus now lies on Joshna to make it to the final. The chances of an ALL-INDIA final are now over. Dipaka has, however, won a Bronze medal.

Like Dipika, Joshna Chinappa also received a bye in the first round. The results of the two matches Joshna has played after that are as follows:

1. Joshna Chinappa (IND) bt. Jemyca Aribado (PHI) 11-2, 11-8, 12-10 in the Round of 16.

2. Joshna Chinappa (IND) bt. Joey Chan (HKG) 11-5, 12-10, 5-11, 12-10

The upcoming against Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam semifinal will prove to be a stern test for Joshna. Joshna is currently ranked 16th whereas Sivasangari Subramaniam is placed at 40. Hence, Joshna will go into the match with the 'favourite' tag.
