The Indian challenge for glory at the Asian Games 2018 held in Jakarta and Palembang cities of Indonesia continues on the Day 6 of the two week long multi sporting extravaganza as the sport of weightlifting takes centre stage today.

The category for the today is the Women's 63 kilograms event where Rakhi Halder will be the sole representative for India. She will battle the competition from countries like DPR Korea, South Korea, Philippines, Bangladesh and Thailand to go for the gold medal.

Weightlifter Rakhi Halder had created a national record earlier this year at the Women's Senior National Weightlifting Championships in India when she lifted 128 kgs in the clean and jerk section for a total of 230kgs to better the previous record held by Karnam Malleshwari (127 kgs).
