After winning the first game, it seemed to be a close contest but an unfortunate injury to Wang resulted in the Chinese Taipei pair retiring and conceding the match to the Indians. What an exhibition of badminton we were being treated to and just when the game was getting interesting, an unfortunate injury to Wang Chi-Lin has seen the Chinese Taipei pair concede the match. It started off in grand fashion for the Indians, who fought through the initial tricky phase and got into their own to assume lead in the first game. They held onto it and made sure that they got over the line in the first game to assume a 1-0 lead. Looking to seal the deal, the Chinese Taipei players came back with a better mindset in the second game and just when it looked like this game would go down the wire, Wang stretched what seemed to be his hamstring, causing an unfortunate elimination for the pair. It was the usual attacking game from the Indians, who did not back down and played the attacking style of badminton they they have treated us to. They will now face Ong Yew Sin & Teo Ee Yi of Malaysia as they go for gold! Can they bring home the medal? Well, that's a question that shall be answered tomorrow.

Despite not going through by the best of circumstances, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty move onto the final! They will, even in the worst of situations, go home with a silver medal and that is something that the young pair will be mighty proud of!

Lee & Wang were doing wonders once again as they took a 6-9 lead in the game. However, they couldn't keep the Indian duo silent for long as Rankireddy & Shetty reduced the opponent's lead to just a single point.

Not the best of the performances from the Indian duo as they fail to replicate their performance from the previous game. They need to step up and get their play their A-game to stay alive in the game.

The Quarter-Finals saw some pretty disappointing performances from the Indians as most of them bowed out of the tournament without making much on an impact. However, the duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty were on top of their game, beating their Indonesian opponents in under half an hour!
