Jagadeesha Suchith, winning captain for Mysuru: "Boys put up a good show after what happened in the previous match. We had a good match with the ball and with the bat. Very crucial win for us. We are playing three back to back matches on 30th, 31st and 1st.
Aniruddha Joshi, losing captain for Shivamogga: "We did well in the first 6 overs. We got what we wanted. But after that we lost too many wickets and we were 20 runs short. We will come back harder in the next match. We need to win all three matches. We will come out and give our 100%."
Raju Bhatkal of Mysuru, Man of the Match: "All credit goes to my wicket-keeper who gave me small tips and that helped. I love batting with Arjun. He makes it so easy for me."
It was an under-par performance by the Lions across both batting and bowling departments. With the exception of Sharath and Somanna, none of the other batsmen clicked - 146 was a blessing for them, in fact. It was only a matter of when the Warriors would finish the chase. And with Arjun and Bhatkal delivering a sumptuous start, there was no looking back for them. Easy and thorough win.
Definitely not an above-par score. Sharath did well at the top, but a bad collapse in the middle overs made it look like the Lions will finish poorly, after which Aditya Sommana lit up the ground and skies with a few good shots, that boosted their total to over 145. They were also helped substantailly by the poor fielding performances from Warriors.
It is still a possible target for the Warriors, and within fifteen minutes, we will start the chase. Stay tuned!
