32' SHOT! Alexis drops deep and launches the ball forward to Giroud, who produces a headed layoff for Elneny on the edge of the box, and his volley flies well wide. Meanwhile, Jonas Hector receives treatment on the touchline.

30' LUCKY! Rausch sends in a brilliant ball from the left, which Zoller is inches away from turning in, but Ospina manages to get ahead before fumbling the ball into Hector's path, and then clearing him out. Thankfully for Arsenal, the ref had blown for Zoller being offside beforehand.

28' Groans ring out at the Emirates as Elneny opts to pass the ball back instead of forward from a promising position. Koln win the ball back and burst forward on the counter, forcing a corner.

25' Alexis finds Giroud in the box with an early cross from the left, but a heavy touch results in a goal kick for Koln. Rather pedestrian stuff from Arsenal so far, with Koln holding on to their lead rather well, and looking dangerous on the counter-attack.

23' CHANCE! Holding does brilliantly to intercept the ball, playing it to Iwobi, who lofts it to Walcott running clear on the right side of the box, but the Englishman skews his shot wide while falling over under pressure.

20' There we go! Bellerin sends in a peach of a cross with Giroud rising high to head the ball downwards but cannot get enough purchase on his effort, with Horn collecting the ball.

19' It's all a bit one-paced and stale from Arsenal who have yet to fashion a chance.

14' Maitland-Niles sends in a low cross from the left and Giroud's near post shot is cleared out for a corner. Alexis sends in a great set piece, but Monreal's header bounces right in front of Horn and is saved.

13' Arsenal nearly get caught out on the counter, but Bellerin uses his recovery pace to get back. The move ends with Bittencourt hammering a shot well over the goal.

12' SAVE! Alexis sends in a free kick into the box, where Giroud sends a looping header towards goal, only for Horn to tip the ball over the bar. However, the Frenchman was offside.

10' A HOWLER FROM DAVID OSPINA! He rushes out to clear the ball and only manages to clear it to Cordoba, who takes a touch, turns and lofts a shot well over Ospina into the net!

8' In stark contrast to the scenes in the crowd, the game has been pretty uneventful so far, with Holding, Mertesacker and Monreal having plenty of the ball. There is the odd long ball forward from both sides, but the keepers have been first to it everytime.
