That was a fairly decent 90 odd minutes that sees Manchester United walk away deserved 1-0 winners. Better finishers, and like Ajax the other day, they too would have sewn up their semifinal tie. However, thanks to that precious away goal courtesy some Marcus Rashford magic, Jose Mourinho's men well and truly hold the upper hand.

87' Hernandez picks out Hugo Mallo with an incredible slide rule pass but Ashley Young does superbly to ensure Mallo's cross doesn't get past him... and thanks to a fortuitous bounce off Mallo, his good work is rewarded with a goal kick

83' Sisto weaves inside and out as he leaves Valencia in a tizzy before sending in a lovely ball that a diving Guidetti cannot get on target - largely due to brilliant pressure exerted on him by Bailly

82' Jozabed tries to find Guidetti in the United box, but the Red defence holds its ground. Fellaini then goes into a typically headless challenge but escapes a second yellow

81' Martial is welcomed to the game with a traditional Mallo cruncher of a tackle and Celta look to move forward as they seek an equaliser

80' Here's to hoping that Rashford's limp was just a bit of gamesmanship and nothing more serious.

79' Blind's corner comes to nothing and his second delivery in is headed away by Pablo Hernandez. As the ball rolls out of play, Mourinho asks Rashford to walk off so that Martial may wade his way into the match. A bit of handbags ensue as Rashford limps off in an exaggerated fashion. Aspas and Guidetti, as expected, taking the most exception and the Balaidos joins them in showing their indignation.

77' Pogba picks out Lingard in acres of space and he pokes it forward for Rashford. The goalscorer's run, though, takes him wide where he does well to win a corner. Mourinho now rolls his dice as he takes off the unimpressive Mkhitaryan for Ashley Young.

76' Celta edge possession 51-49 at the moment, but the only column that matters still stands in United's favour

75' WOAH! An inadvertent slip from Paul Pogba sets up Lingard for the million-dollar-shot, but he skews his volley well wide. Another very presentable chance that the English youngsters wasted!

74' Lingard tries to find the unmistakable figure of Fellaini but the impressive Cabral heads it away. Berizzo has seen enough as he hooks the poor Wass for Fulham Loanee Jozabed.

73' Lingard tries to play in Rashford with a touch that's a bit too cute.... Celta break at pace and Aspas plays one-twos with Guidetti and Castro before slamming a first-time volley just wide! Berizzo's head is in his hands !

72' Mkhitaryan motors down the flank and United win a corner. It's taken quickly, too quickly perhaps and Alvarez collects the delivery with the minimum of fuss.

71' As Aditya Rangarajan has just pointed out for the Rashford goal "as he lined the freekick up, the billboard right behind the goal was a FedEx ad that read 'Game-changing delivery'. Prophetic. " I believe WOOF is the correct technical term

70' The tireless Guidetti does well once again to win a corner for his side, this time seeing off the considerable bulk of Antonio Valencia

69' Celta try to hit back immediately but Gustavo Cabral's overly ambitious long-ranger curls above Romero's crossbar.

WHAT A FREEKICK! Blind ran over the ball, and Rashford curled one in straight into the side of the net. Delightfully taken that one, and it's a well-deserved lead for United

66' Finally Rashford wins a foul as he races past Mallo and the Celta man hauls him down - it's a yellow that's gracefully accepted.

64' End-to-end it may be, but the quality is not of the highest order. Wass' freekick is straight to Romero who does well to release Lingard into the Celta third where he wins a throw in

63' Pogba swings in a ball that is too close to Alvarez for Rashford to do anything about it. Guidetti then chases the keepers punt upfield and bullies Bailly into conceding a corner. Very end-to-end stuff here

62' Celta win another 50-50 decision in their favour and Mourinho is absolutely furious. Wass tries to move forward, but Bailly intercepts and United counter through Rashford again. Up against Mallo, he can't get past the right back as the Spaniard puts in an excellent challenge.

61' Manchester United break with extreme prejudice with the pace of Rashford. He bears down on goal and with four in support of him elects to smash it all the way into the Atlantic Ocean. Will be Mourinho be lending out his brain again, now?

59' Radoja powers into the United half and passes it on to Sisto. The winger cuts in and attempts a curler.... IT DEFLECTS OFF FELLAINI'S LEG AND REQUIRES ROMERO TO MAKE A QUITE SPECTACULAR SAVE! The corner, though, comes to nothing.

57' Roncaglia does well to hold off a charging Rashford and clear Pogba's hopeful dink. A lovely little backheel from Lingard almost opens up the Celta Vigo left flank, but Fellaini lacks the requisite dexterity to make the most of it.

56' Celta pass the ball around United's box with some panache before Hernandez's cute little backheel intended for Mallo is intercepted by Darmian.

55' The ball in is not upto the high standards the young man has set for himself this season, and Celta clear easily.

54' Valencia skins Hernandez and Castro, but ends up settling for a corner. It's just the second of the contest for United and Rashford stands over it.

53' Celta step up the ante once again and Aspas floats into the box but can't pick out a team-mate with his cross. United go on the counter immediately and Lingard is brought down by Cabral. Legally, the referee adjudicates much to the Englishman's annoyance.

52' ASPAS!!! The danger man nips in ahead of Bailly to reach a teasing Wass ball, but can't get the direction his header required to trouble Romero.

51' Valencia ensures Sisto goes nowhere with a thumping, no-nonsense challenge but Celta win back possession and a bout of some incisive passing ensues...

50' Pogba finds himself in space at the edge of the box and tries to curl one into the top corner, but it just ends up floating harmlessly high

49' Lingard swings one into the box for Rashford but the indomitable Carbal smacks a header clear. Pogba then tries to wriggle his way into the box but can't work his way past Roncaglia

48' United play the ball around for a bit, but Ander Herrera's poor day on the ball continues as he gives the ball away again. They win it back immediately, though so all's good, I guess

46' Aspas is brought down by Darmian in a dangerous area - and the Spaniard doesn't like it one bit. The ref tells him to keep his feelings to himself and keeps his cards to himself. Wass swings it into the near post but a hilariously free Roncaglia misses his header

PEEP! PEEP! WE'RE OFF AGAIN! No changes for either side

With Rashford, Lingard and Mkhitaryan all hogging the central areas of the pitch, there's been a lot of passing in between the channels from United and Celta haven't always had the answers for their movement - nor for Pogba. Some non-vaction-esque finishing, though, and United should walk away with this one.

United have had by far the better chances and are culpable of some ludicrously poor finishing... but Celta haven't been far behind. In terms of the ludicrousness of the finishing, I mean.

44' Cabral and Hernadez do well to keep at bay a rampaging Rashford and Pogba respectively, but there's no stopping Valencia when the boulder of an Ecuadorian goes on one of his charges. He outpowers three Celta men before jinking a dangerous looking ball into the box that Alvarez collects off the forehead of an onrushing Rashford.

43' Fellaini is outmuscled one moment and then does some outmuscling of his own the other, but United are boxed out by the Celta defence who for once have all fallen back in line.
