UEFA Champions League Draw 2017/18 live updates: Player of the Year announced

And with that, an enthralling UEFA Champions League group stage draw concludes. We have some very interesting groups, waiting for us in this season's Champions League. And as was expected, it was Cristiano Ronaldo and Lieke Martens who have walked away with the top honours, having been crowned the UEFA Men's Player of the Year and the UEFA Women's Player of the Year, respectively.

The Portuguese thanks his teammates and underlines the goal for the upcoming season, which is to win the UEFA Champions League for a 3rd consecutive year. Will Real Madrid be able to do it? Well, the question is, who will stop them?

And the UEFA Men's Player of the Year is.... CRISTIANO RONALDO!!!!!!

And now, it is time for the big announcement, that of the UEFA Men's Player of the Year, and the three shortlists are - Cristiano Ronaldo, Gianluigi Buffon and Lionel Messi.

And the winner of the UEFA Women's Player of the Year is...... Lieke Martens!

First up, it will be the announcement of the UEFA Women's Player of the Year, with Pernille Harder, Dzsenifer Marozsán and Lieke Martens, competing for the award.

Group H, meanwhile, can now be official certified as the Group of DEATH!!!
The group has Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur and APOEL.

That concludes the draw... But we still have the UEFA Men's Player of the Year and the UEFA Women's Player of the Year to be announced.

Here is how the groups look:

Group A- Benfica, Manchester United, Basel, CSKA Moskva
Group B- Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-German, Anderlecht, Celtic
Group C- Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Quarabag
Group D- Juventus, Barcelona, Olympiacos, Sporting
Group E- Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, Liverpool, Maribor
Group F- Sharkhat Donetsk, Manchester City, Napoli, Feyenoord
Group G- Monaco, Porto, Besiktas, RB Leipzig
Group H- Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur, APOEL

Maribor are the next, and they have been drawn in Group E.
APOEL that means, will be competing in Group H.

And CSKA Moscow are up next, and the Russian club have been drawn in Group A.

3 more to go...

Totti then picks out Celtic, and the Scottish club will be competing in Group B.

Sporting Clube de Portugal are up next and they will be facing teams from Group D.

5 teams left to go...

Totti then draws Feyenoord, who have been drawn in Group F.

The second team is Qarabag, their first ever Champions League campaign, and they have been drawn into Group C.

RB Leipzig are picked by Totti, and they have been drawn in Group G.

And now, the final 8 teams are set to be drawn, and Pot 4 begins with....

Buffon and Messi congratulate the Portuguese sensation on his win.

And now, we have... The Forward of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season. And the winner is Cristiano Ronaldo - who else?. He beats Lionel Messi once again...

Group A- Benfica, Manchester United, Basel
Group B- Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-German, Anderlecht
Group C- Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Roma
Group D- Juventus, Barcelona, Olympiacos
Group E- Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, Liverpool
Group F- Sharkhat Donetsk, Manchester City, Napoli
Group G- Monaco, Porto, Besiktas
Group H- Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur

And now, we have, Olympiakos, who have been drawn in Group D.
That means Napoli are in Group F. Wow, pot 3 concludes with that.

Totti then picks out AS Roma, his beloved club, and Sheva picks up Group C. Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have been drawn previously in this group.

Tottenham Hotspur are next and they are set to make the group of death, and it is Group H. Real Madrid and Dortmund are there.

Liverpool, who are making a return to Champions League this season are next, and they have been drawn in Group E alongside Spartak Moscow and Sevilla.

Besiktas are the 3rd of Pot 3, the Turkish side will be coming up against Monaco and Porto in Group G.

FC Basel is the next that Totti picks out and they have been drawn alongside Group A. Benfica and Manchester United are there.

And the first team to be picked are Anderlecht, who will be drawn up in Group B. PSG and Bayern Munich are waiting for them.

Pot 3 is now underway...

Next up, it is the Midfielder of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season. And the winner is Luka Modric.

Here is how the draw has panned out so far,

Group A- Benfica, Manchester United
Group B- Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-German
Group C- Chelsea, Atletico Madrid
Group D- Juventus, Barcelona
Group E- Spartak Moscow, Sevilla
Group F- Sharkhat Donetsk, Manchester City
Group G- Monaco, Porto
Group H- Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund

That means Barcelona will be Group D, alongside the team that knocked them out last season, Juventus.

Borussia Dortmund are up next, the Signal Iduna Park outfit have been drawn in Group H, holders Real Madrid are also there in that group. Another group of death in the making, what is going on?

Sevilla are the next to be drawn and they have been drawn in Group E, along side Spartak Moscow.

Totti picks Manchester City next, the Etihad outfit have been picked for Group F, alongside Shakhtar Donetsk.

Neymar's new destination, Paris Saint-Germain, have been allotted to Group B, alongside Bayern Munich. Another group of death? WOW!

Manchester United are up next and the Red Devils have been drawn in Group A, Benfica will not be too happy.

Atletico Madrid is up next, and they have been drawn in Group C, alongside Chelsea. Group of death in the making?

The first team to be drawn from Pot 2 are FC Porto, Totti, doing the honours and Sheva helps him, drawn the Portuguese club in Group G, alongside AS Monaco.

Pot 2 draw will now be underway, and we have some of the biggest names here. What will it be?

Next up, is the Defender of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season.

And the winner is - Sergio Ramos, who else?

He beat Leonardo Bonucci and teammate Marcelo to the prize.

There we have it, the draw of Pot 1 is now concluded.

The second last team to be drawn is... The holders, Real Madrid... and they will be in Group H.
That means Juventus have been drawn into Group D.

Shakhtar Donetsk is the next ball that Totti picks out from the bowl and they will be competing in Group F.

Totti draws AS Monaco next, and they have been drawn into Group G.

The two legends have helped us half way through the first draw and here I am wondering how the two could have been as a strike force?
