Bengaluru FC vs Delhi Dynamos preview:

In what is Sunil Chhetri's 150th appearance for Bengaluru FC, the Blues will hope to climb to the top of the table with a win over the struggling Delhi Dynamos at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium this evening.

Dynamos, who are yet to win this season, are expected to test Bengaluru FC only a bit. BFC will play their third home game of the season and can move up FC Goa with a game to spare with a win tonight.

BFC's last defeat in the league strangely came against the Lions back in January 2018 in the previous season. That's a different story because the Dynamos had different players and a different coach in Miguel Angel Portugal. Here, it's going to be an uphill task for Josep Gombau's boys to stop the Bengaluru juggernaught.

Bengaluru are coming off four wins and have conceded the least number of goals among all the teams - five. Tonight, they will miss playmaker Dimas Delgado because of a suspension, while towering midfielder Erik Paartalu is recovering from a toe surgery.

The availability of Miku is still uncertain but if the Venezuelan doesn't make the squad, Bhutanese forward Chencho Gyeltshen will lead the attack with Chhetri for the hosts.

Gombau has a full-strength squad at his disposal. The visitors play a lot of crosses from the flanks through Lallianzuala Chhangte and Nandhakumar S but their conversion rate has been poor. Forward Andrija Kaludjerovic has to step up if he wants to dislodge Dynamos from the bottom of the table.

Rene Mihelic and Marcos Tebar are the other midfielders BFC have to be wary of. Goalkeeper Francisco Dorronsoro has been impressive between the posts but is shy against easy scoring opportunities. The poor form of the defensive unit comprising Pritam Kotal, Marti Crespi, Rana Gharami and Narayan Das has not helped matters for Gombau.

There were doubts whether the match would be held at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium due to the demise of popular cine actor and former Union minister Ambareesh. However, the ISL authorities have confirmed that the stadium would be made available for the game and it will go on as scheduled.
