Sunderland are expected to finalise a loan deal for Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter over the weekend.

The Blues have included the 20-year-old on the bench to play Norwich in the FA Cup tonight, but he is set to become Chris Coleman’s first signing and should travel north tomorrow to finalise the deal.

Fluminense midfielder Wendel has joined Sporting Lisbon, having previously been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The 20-year-old has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal after a reported fee of around €8m was agreed.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says he does not want a new goalkeeper this month, despite Los Blancos being close to securing the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Zidane has said: "As a coach, I don't need a goalkeeper at the moment. If that changes by June or if we sit down and talk about it."

PSG WANT RONALDO

The French giants have had a long-term interest in the Portuguese and will try to sign him at the end of the season. They would have to negotiate with Real Madrid though, due to the fact that the 32-year-old has a €1bn buyout clause in his contract.

Crystal Palace are in negotiations with Getafe for their highly-rated goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

The La Liga side are keen to get a fee for the 30-year old, believed to be around £3.5m, rather than let him go for free in the summer.

Watford and Besiktas have also been linked with the keeper who has conceded just 16 goals in 17 league games so far this season.

Watford are the front-runners to take Islam Slimani on loan, but Newcastle are also interested in the out-of-favour Leicester strike

Stoke have warned West Ham that Joe Allen is not for sale. The Hammers lured Arnautovic to the London Stadium in the summer and struggling Stoke are determined to not let another key player depart for London in January.

AN UPDATE ON COUTINHO

Coutinho hasn’t travelled to Dubai with the squad. He wants the deal to Barcelona to be done ASAP. He is even willing to put some money towards fee. The figure should be close to €160M. No agreement yet between clubs but he would like it all done by next week. FCB would like to make announcement “very soon”

Liverpool is trying all they can to convince him to stay till the end of the season once deal with Barcelona has been agreed. And they are not actively looking for a replacement after trying to get Keita earlier.

Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has said there are no transfer negotiations involving Alex Sandro, despite speculation that Chelsea still want him.

Juve policy is that should a player ask to leave, we don't keep him. About Alex Sandro, we know about the interest of big clubs for him, but at the moment, we haven't opened negotiations" he told Mediaset.

Besiktas released details on Cenk Tosun deal. 22m euros plus 1.15m. Then bonuses - €500,000 if Everton get in Europa League, €750,000 if get in CL. Further payments linked to appearances and if he scores 25-goals in a season.

Besiktas interested in Giroud

Besiktas are reportedly looking at a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud after cashing in on Cenk Tosun.

They need a replacement for their former striker who completed a move to Everton on Friday and with Giroud struggling to hold down a regular place at the Emirates, the Turkish side could swoop for his services.

Hazard rejects new offer from Chelsea

Chelsea's Eden Hazard has rejected a second contract offer amid Real Madrid interest. The Belgian’s current contract expires in 2020 and while the Blues want to tie him down to a longer deal, Hazard is stalling on committing as it is thought he is holding out for an offer from the La Liga club.

Liverpool want Mahrez to replace Coutinho

With the Reds set to lose Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona this month, they have already moved for a replacement with Chelsea also thought to be interested in the Algerian.

Suarez back at the Anfield?

Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Luis Suarez as Philippe Coutinho looks set to leave Anfield for Barcelona in the current window.

With fees of £140m and above being touted for the Brazil midfielder, the Reds are looking to reinvest the money and have reportedly asked about the Uruguay striker.
