Right then. Sharath Kamal has had a long and eventful CWG so far but today he will be fighting for something he hasn't won since 2006- a singles gold at the Commonwealth Games. In his illustrious career, the 40-year-old veteran has won plenty of silverware but nothing gets better than an individual gold. He will soon be locking horns with Liam Pitchford of England as his hunt for gold continues.

Sharath Kamal has had to fight hard to make it this far into the competition. After securing golds in the team event and mixed doubles, he has to battle out against the number 2 seed for the ultimate prize. A gritty victory against Paul Drinkhall in the semi-finals must have been satisfying but he will be up against an even tougher opponent today.
