PV Sindhu will go up against Soniia Cheah of Malaysia in the 2018 Thailand Open quarterfinal today, July 13.
The Indian is the second seed for the tournament and is amongst the favorites to win the Thailand Open.
The Thailand Open is the thirteenth tournament of the 2018 BWF Tour and will take place in Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The winner of this tournament will be awarded nine thousand and two hundred points, while the runners-up will get seven thousand eight hundred points. The winner will also bag the cash prize of thirteen thousand and three hundred dollars.
Sindhu has been drawn in the Bottom half and will be one of the favorites to win the tournament. She got her campaign off to a solid start by beating Linda Zetchiri. Sindhu then went on to beat Yip Pui Yin in the second round.
So far the Indian shuttler hasn't dropped a game and will look to continue her fine form as she faces Cheah in the quarterfinal.
