WWE NXT Live Results (February 22, 2022): Ziggler topples Ciampa with help from Roode.

Grayson Waller defeats LA Knight by pin.
Kay Lee Ray/Io Shirai defeat Lash Legend/Amari Miller by pin.

Dolph Ziggler defeats Tommaso Ciampa by pin.

The cameraman turns out to be Bob Todd Roode. He and Ziggs attack Ciampa while he's down. That brings out Big Bad Booty Nephew and he issues a challenge for a tag match next week. Breakker says "find your balls" and the heels actually do get back into the ring as things go off the air.

The two fight on the ring apron until Ciampa lands an Air Raid Crash on the ring apron. Ciampa puts Ziggler back into the ring but struggles to get in it. As the ref is focused on Ziggler, a cameraman hits Ciampa with a camera. It allows Ziggler to land a superkick for the win.
Result - Dolph Ziggler defeats Tommaso Ciampa by pin.

Both men get in the ring to break the count. Ziggler goes for another superkick but Ciampa dodges it. He goes for the Fairytale Ending but can't land it because his arm is lame. Ziggler locks in a Sleeper away from the ropes, but Ciampa gets out of it and gets a near fall after dropping on top of Ziggs.

Ciampa blasts Ziggler and gets two. He hits a running knee and Ziggler breaks the count by getting his leg on the rope. Both men are outside of the ring. Ziggler lands a ZigZag outside as both men are counted out.

Ziggler has Ciampa in a headlock as we come back from the ad break. Ciampa regains control with a clothesline. Ciampa loads up for a move off the ropes but Ziggler lands a superkick. They trade moves, including Ziggler hitting the Famouser for a two-count.

Things are even early on with each competitor getting control for a few moments. Ziggler takes the early advantage, locking the Blackheart in several rest holds. Ciampa gets control after hitting a few clotheslines. Ziggler goes for a ZigZag but Ciampa evades it. He drops Ziggler to the outside area with a knee strike.

It's main event time as Tommaso Ciampa defends home turf against Dolph Ziggler. It's the battle of well-tanned men with varying beard lengths.

Announced for next week are GUNTHER vs. Solo Sikoa and Pete Dunne vs. Carmelo Hayes for the NXT North American title.

NIle chokes Paxley out after the loss but Roddy tells her to stop. Backstage, Mac Mitchell interviews Sikoa. She says that he and GUNTHER will face off next week. Malcolm Bivens comes out to thank Solo for taking GUNTHER out, but Solo says he did it for him and not for Bivens. Solo leaves Bivens hanging after Bivens goes for a high five.

Kayden gets the hot tag and knocks Paxley off the apron. She lands a kick for a near fall. Nile lands a spinning kick before tagging Paxley in. They land a bad-looking Magic Killer followed by a Senton for a near fall. Kayden and Kacy knock Nile out of the ring before hitting a tandem move for the win.

They come out wearing something resembling an outfit. They have shoulder pads without the pads or anything else. It's weird. Kayden and Paxley start out. Kacy tags in and lands a spinning splash. Paxley tags in Nile and they land a tandem move. Nile quickly tags back in.

As creepy as they make Joe Gacy out to be, he's still one of the few people to thank McKenzie Mitchell for her time. What a nice guy (I know, he's still creepy). Up next is Ivy Nile/Tatum Paxley taking on Team Lil Ladies, aka Kacy and Kayden.

Fallon Henley comes in to ask what's going on. She reveals that he only needs to take a picture and set up the profile. Josh Briggs reveals that Jensen's love life is his favorite form of entertainment because it's a trainwreck.

Up next is the Goober Brothers, who won the 2022 Dusty Cup. Like Wagner, thank the lord that Malcolm Bivens speaks for the Creeds. Bivens runs down Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel. That brings GUNTHER and the NXT Tag Champs out. It leads to a brawl between the teams, leaving Bivens and GUNTHER. GUNTHER goes to attack Bivens but Solo Sikoa makes the save. Bivens gives Sikoa a weak thumbs up as a thank you.

Robert Stone cuts a promo with Von Wagner by his side (thankfully) and says that Chase will have to file for disability after their match next week. Luckily, Wagner has only one line.

Lyons lands a sunset flip for a near fall. She lands some strikes on Inlay in the clinch before hitting three kicks. She lands a third kick but Inlay tries to wrap her up with a waist lock. Lyons lands a spinning kick followed by a split for the win.
Result - Nikkita Lyons defeats Kayla Inlay by pin.

Lyons tosses Inlay with a hip toss after some back-and-forth. Inlay pushes Lyons against the ropes and mouths off to Lyons. Lyons knocks her back with a kick. She ends up tossing her across the ring with a hip toss before landing a Superwoman punch. Inlay reverses it by raking Lyons' eyes against the ropes.

Lyons comes out dressed as a stacked Sonya Blade. She's taking on Kayla Inlay.

Nikkita Lyons debut is next. How many lion references will they make. Before that, we get a look at a class from Chase U. He mentions "intestinal fortitude" and how Von Wagner has none since he's ducked his challenges.

Bron Breakker talks briefly to Ciampa before the main event. Ciampa says he still needs to know who the better man is since they have each won a match apiece.

Grimes gets back into it, landing a few moves and a knee to Williams' face. He goes to the top but Trick evades the move. Trick lands a pump kick but Grimes punches back. Williams lands a few moves but Grimes hits a spinning side Uranage for a near fall. He goes for a move but Williams rolls out of the ring. Grimes hits a superkick on Trick before going to the top. He lands a flying crossbody before hitting the Cave In for the win.
Result - Cameron Grimes defeats Trick Williams by pin.

Coming back from the break we see Trick Williams taking on Grimes. Grimes is in control for most of the match until Williams slows things down.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are out next. He says that everyone was talking about him after last week. Williams tries to compare Melo to the Cowboys, but Melo has at least won a title recently. Pete Dunne comes out to challenge Melo for a match next week, but Williams tries to cut him out. Melo doesn't exactly accept the challenge because Cameron Grimes comes out to blindside Melo/Williams.

Chen lands a pump kick and a corner splash. He plants Hudson with a DDT and gets a near fall. Chen gets Hudson in the corner and lands some punches, but the Aussie knocks him off the turnbuckle. He hits his own pump kick before hitting the Razor's Edge move for the win.
Result - Duke Hudson defeats Dante Chen by pin.

Brooks Jensen is still trying to get a date. Enough already. Thankfully, it's a short segment. Duke Hudson heads to the ring but gets blindsided by Dante Chen. Chen slams Hudson's leg against the ring post a few times.

Dante Chen cuts a brief promo about how tonight is his Vengeance Day on Duke Hudson. Their match is next.

Lash Legend starts off with Io. Io hits the 619 early on but she falls off the ropes. Legend punches her but Io lands a dropkick. Miller tags herself in and Io tags KLR. Io hits a basement dropkick and KLR gets a pinfall. KLR goes for a suplex, but Miller counters into a roll-up for a near fall. She gets to her corner to tag in Legend. Legend hits a pump kick on KLR before getting superkicked. KLR hits the KLR Bomb and a moonsault before Io lands her signature moonsault for the win.
Result - Io Shirai/Kay Lee ray defeat Lash Legend/Amari Miller by pin.

Toxic Attraction addresses the tournament, saying that they'll be in their "lounge" for the whole thing. They knock the teams of Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai as well as Jade/Gonzalez. KLR and Shirai are out for the tournament's first match. They take on Lash Legend and Amari Miller, who don't get an entrance.

The next chapter in the teaming of Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez is next. Jade is in charge of the training this week, as they head to a rope adventure park. Gonzo is apparently afraid of heights, and Jade says "you are the height." And like everyone these days, Raquel goes down a zipline while filming herself.

Dakota Kai tries to rationalize why Wendy Choo chose her for the Dusty Cup tournament. She says that she's "tried the friend thing before" but it didn't work out. Toxic Attraction is shown walking to the "Toxic Lounge" ahead of the commencement of the Women's tournament.

Knight attacks Waller after the match, and Sanga predictably tries to come to his defense. Knight dodges the big man and hits his finisher on Sanga. He does the same to Waller before leaving.

Waller goes out of the ring to go for his running start Cutter move, but Knight catches him and hits a side suplex. Knight maintains control with a back body drop and some stomps in the corner. He sends Waller into the turnbuckle chest first before landing a neck breaker. Knight goes for a move, but Sanga holds Waller's arm from outside the ring. It allows Waller to roll Knight up for the win.
Result - Grayson Waller defeats LA Knight by pin.

Knight and Waller are outside of the ring. Knight warns Sanga to stay out of thins and Waller uses the distraction to toss Knight into the steel steps. Waller lands an elbow off the top for a near fall. He puts Knight's head against a turnbuckle and kicks him. The two men battle a bit until Waller lands a Lowdown variant for a near fall.

Waller immediately jumps out of the ring. As Knight jumps out to get him, Waller goes into the ring. They play some cat and mouse chase games until Knight catches the rat. He decks Waller and then lands a springboard shoulder block. Waller turns the tides and hits a knee. Knight "crotches" Waller on the ropes before knocking him to the floor.

Grayson Waller vs. LA Knight marks the first match of the night. Will Sanga play into the outcome or will Knight finally get his revenge?
