When Alexander Gustafsson and Daniel Cormier ended up facing each other in what would be one of the bloodiest and longest fights in either of their careers, neither had been expected to perform as well as they did.
They went the full five rounds, and although both battlers showed exhaustion by the time the fifth round arrived, it was a perfect mesh of skill and ability that they displayed in the Octagon.
This remains according to many, Cormier's best fight till date.
