Fifth-ranked ONE strawweight Muay Thai and mixed martial arts contender Danial Williams is making his return to the Circle for the first time this year at ONE Fight Night 8: Superlek vs Rodtang.

The entire card will air live on US Primetime on March 24 inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium. It will be free for Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Considered to be one of the most exciting and unique fighters in the promotion, ‘Mini T’ has been quite vocal about his desire to become a historic three-sport world champion someday.

Williams certainly has the tools to pull off such lofty aspirations, since he’s becoming a more complete fighter with each passing day.

Let’s take a look at Danial Williams’ best weapons ahead of his return at ONE Fight Night 8.

#3. Diverse skillset

A fighter who dreams of becoming a multi-time world champion must be worth one’s salt and able to back it up with his abilities.

Judging by his sensational outings inside the Circle so far, Danial Williams possesses a well-rounded skillset to achieve such a feat.

After losing his promotional debut against the mighty Rodtang Jitmuangnon under Muay Thai rules, Williams entered the lion’s den and joined the stacked ONE strawweight MMA ranks.

The Kao Sok Muay Thai and Scrappy MMA standout took the division by storm after racking up three straight wins. Williams even registered highlight-reel knockout victories against Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke and Zelang Zhaxi.

While ‘Mini T’ admits his grappling still needs work to catch up with his striking, it takes a special talent to make a seamless transition from striking-only matches to mixed martial arts.

#2. Danial Williams has high fight IQ

Another thing that makes Williams a force to be reckoned with is the fact he’s the perfect mix between brain and brawn.

Outside the Circle, the Aussie is an eloquent individual with distinctive ideologies about the fight game.

His scary knockout power is backed by keen attention to detail, which makes his destructive capabilities even more lethal than they already are.

For instance, Williams was quick to see his faults following his disappointing TKO loss to Jeremy Miado at ONE on Prime Video 3 last year.

Even in defeat, ‘Mini T’ was able to point out his eagerness to hunt for the knockout, instead of using more combinations against the Filipino slugger.

Danial Williams has also showcased the ability to adapt on the fly mid-fight, as we’ve seen in his unanimous decision win over Namiki Kawahara.

#1. Dynamite power in either hand

While knockout power is something you can develop inside the gym, it appears that Danial Williams’ one-shot prowess is an innate ability.

The 29-year-old made a statement when he took out the inaugural ONE strawweight world champion Dejdamrong.

After battering the legendary Thai for two-and-a-half rounds, the Aussie unleashed a brutal right cross to the body, which sent him to the Circle floor in agony.

That freakish power was once again on full display against the Zelang Zhaxi.

The brash Chinese star pissed off Williams with some choice words in the build-up to their match, which made his knockout win even sweeter.

A pin-point right cross counter to the chin effectively ended Zelang’s night.
