#2. Daniel Cormier wins in the first round:
Derrick Lewis is not a weak man. He is in fact one of the sturdiest men in the UFC, and has proven so time and time again. One of the times he proved this, was at UFC 229.
Lewis took an enormous beating, but at the end of it, he was still able to stay up on his feet. He took each shot thrown at him by the Russian, Alexander Volkov, and acted like it was nothing.
The continuous punishment seemed to take a toll, and heading into the last 20 seconds of the fight, it was obvious Volkov would win by decision. That is when Lewis came back with a big shot to take out Volkov. He won the fight, undoing all the work that had been done in the previous round by the Russian.
Daniel Cormier has far more experience than the Russian. He is one of the best fighters in the company, and has beaten the best in the business. Also, he is coming into this bout fresher than his opponent, who had his fight less than a month ago.
No matter how tough Lewis is, there is no way Daniel Cormier does not win this fight.
