Hugh Jackman's 'Wolverine' character is one gifted with extraordinary powers. Not only can he regenerate from injuries extremely fast, but he also has adamantium claws to cut through any and everything.
The character of Wolverine is more special and relevant in this case as he was seen fighting in a cage in the X-Men movies, making money through underground illegal fights. Even without his powers, his years of experience from fighting in both the Civil War and the World Wars makes him an experienced fighter.
His powers also mean that he prefers to fight hand to hand, and with someone like him in the UFC, anyone else would be hard-pressed to defeat him. The incredible quiet attitude that Logan's character possesses is only backed by a temper which is the polar opposite. It would be hard for anyone to face him and come out in one piece... literally!
