5 opponents for Ronda Rousey if she comes to WWE

Ronda Rousey
Rousey would be a powerhouse in WWE

Ronda Rousey is still one of the baddest women on the planet, despite her back to back losses in her last two fights.

The Superstar has risen to the top of the mixed martial arts world on more than one occasion, however, now it looks like her time in the sport is slowly coming to an end, if we are to believe the words of UFC President Dana White.

So the big question is this - what's next? Will Ronda take her talents to the bright lights of Hollywood or instead enjoy her millions in peace and quiet? Both options are as likely as the other, but there's a third that could also be quite appealing to the former World Champion.

Maybe, just maybe, she'll end up inside of the squared circle by the end of the year.

Given her appearance at WrestleMania 31, it doesn't seem too far outside the realms of possibility that she could do this, plus she's known to have a deep love for the sports entertainment business. It may only be for a one-off match, but for the sake of debate let's say she sticks around for an extended run.

If that turns out to be the case, there's a lot of interesting bouts she could have throughout her time with the company.

So with that in mind, let's look at five opponents for Ronda Rousey if she comes to WWE.

#5 Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks
The Boss vs Rowdy Ronda Rousey could draw some serious money

Sasha is probably the least appealing match up for Ronda, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be great.

Her personality and heel persona could carry this into a whole new level, with Ronda not quite grasping the idea of psychology within the squared circle. You could have Sasha constantly avoid Ronda and get away from her until their eventual match.

Have Sasha cheat on a number of different occasions, but in the end, it's the former UFC Champion that picks up the victory. It may not be the most convincing feud or match, but everyone loves Sasha so putting her up against Ronda could make for a string of interesting segments.

Who knows, maybe it could be made into a best of three and Banks comes away with a victory to her name.

Moving on to someone who has had their fair share of issues with the former Women's Champion.

#4 Nia Jax

Nia Jax
Jax would be a whole different ball game for Rousey

If you want an imposing figure to stand across the ring from Ronda, it's Nia Jax. The former NXT standout has been on fire since coming up to the main roster, and you can see that she's just getting better and better with each passing week.

If you introduce Ronda into that equation, you could have a fascinating fight on your hands with Nia claiming that Ronda can't just walk into the company and get whatever she wants.

It would be a fascinating spin on the standard David vs Goliath story, because Rousey is such a beast that you wouldn't know who was going to walk away with the victory.

A loss wouldn't hurt either woman too much considering the circumstances, and the dynamic in the ring would mean that Ronda wouldn't even necessarily have to wrestle a world class match for it to be a success.

From Raw back over to SmackDown Live.

#3 Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch
Rousey vs Lynch actually has some potential

The battle of the armbars. Becky Lynch never backs down from a fight and there aren't too many bigger potential battles than Ronda Rousey. Ronda would probably play the heel in this scenario and that makes sense, especially given how she skipped the media requirements in her last fight against Amanda Nunes.

With that being said, the focus should be on the spirit of both women as opposed to one picking on the other. Rousey may not take Lynch seriously, but it could be interesting to see each woman lock their submission on the other with an ounce of 'respect' in play.

Lynch hasn't really reached the levels of her fellow Four Horsewomen yet, but a match like this could be a big step towards ensuring that it happens.

We move onto a match that we've already seen a snippet of.

#2 Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie McMahon
We’ve already seen a snippet of Ronda vs Steph

At WrestleMania 31 when Rousey made her first WWE appearance, people were dying to see her get physical with Stephanie McMahon. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite able to follow through on that, but what she did manage to do was plant the seeds for a future match-up between the two.

After all, who wouldn't want to see Stephanie get her long overdue comeuppance?

Some fans may have a worry in the back of their minds that Steph would end up being victorious, but even a company as historically stupid as WWE wouldn't stoop that low.

They could throw all the smoke and mirrors they like into this match because that's exactly what people would expect it to be - just don't make a mockery of one of the greatest female athletes of all time.

We conclude with a match that many people have speculated over.

#1 Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair
Could Rousey dethrone The Queen?

Charlotte Flair is one of the most dominant athletes in the history of WWE. Since arriving on the main roster she has been easing past every competitor that has stood in her way, racking up a phenomenal unbeaten PPV record in the process.

She looks set to be one of the greatest female superstars of all time, which makes her the perfect match-up for Ronda Rousey.

The two women who were the leaders of their respective sports for a long time could finally come face to face inside the squared circle. You can play up the idea that Rousey is naturally tougher but Flair is just that much more experienced in the ring, which could make for a fascinating contest.

Charlotte should probably be the one to go over here, but we'd be happy to see them battle week in and week out.
