Team Lakay women’s atomweight star Gina “Conviction” Iniong is looking to re-insert herself in the title picture as she returns to action at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS on Saturday, 16 February at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Filipina striker faces off against undefeated Malaysian up-and-comer Jihin “Shadowcat” Radzuan in a crucial women’s atomweight matchup for both competitors.

Looking to inject some life into an otherwise rocky campaign for Team Lakay so far in 2019, Iniong says that she is coming in with a sense of aggression and motivation.

"They can expect an aggressive and determined Gina Iniong," she said.

Iniong is also focused on ending the bout in a convincing manner, so as to avoid any close decisions.

"Anything can happen in a fight. All I can say is I don't want the fight to go to the judges' scorecards,” Iniong added.

To get the best chances at scoring a finish, Iniong says she has put in the work in the gym, along with all the world-class talent at Team Lakay.

"I am working doubly hard in training by pushing myself to the limits,” she stated. "I follow my coaches' advise in every turn. We focused on my weaknesses in training and gave a lot of time on my ground game.”

“My last fight made me realize that I have so many techniques to improve and develop. I am coming with everything to have my hand raised in Bangkok,” she added.

A legitimate contender in the women’s atomweight division, Iniong, who could be argued was a win away from getting a title shot back in 2017, is hoping to get another streak going and finally earn a shot at the world championship.

“I am still hoping to get a shot at the ONE Women's Atomweight World Title and fight Angela Lee.”
“One of my dreams is to challenge her because I want to become a World Champion,” Iniong continued.
