Allycia Hellen Rodrigues shares a heartfelt message following her first world title defense

Brazil's Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is the undisputed women's atomweight Muay Thai champ—and the 24-year-old shared a heartfelt message following her marquee win.

Rodrigues scored a unanimous decision victory over former interim champ Janet Todd at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video. Despite taking a lengthy layoff, Rodrigues looked sharp, especially in the latter stages of the title bout.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues put an end to Todd's impressive seven-fight win streak to claim the undisputed women's atomweight Muay Thai crown.

"Thank you my god for everything you've done in my life, it's a happiness that doesn't fit in the chest to live that moment again feel all that adrenaline again after 2 years stopped i have no words to explain. This one is for all the moms who had to start over and even with all the difficulties, we always get back on top and come back even stronger."

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues scores unanimous decision victory at ONE Fight Night 8

The Phuket Fight Club affiliate made her first appearance since dethroning promotional superstar Stamp Fairtex all the way back in August 2020.

Taking on 'JT' was no easy task, as the American entered the bout having won her previous seven contests, including finishes over Wang Chin Long, Ekaterina Vandaryeva, and Anne Line Hogstad.

The women's atomweight Muay Thai title bout was closely contested early on, but Rodrigues upped the aggression in the latter stages of the fight to earn a decision victory and undisputed status.

Meanwhile, Janet Todd is still the current women's atomweight kickboxing world champ—an honor she earned by besting Stamp Fairtex via split decision in 2020.

Rodrigues is now a proud mother as well as an undisputed world champion, a nod she has been yearning for since her extended layoff forced an interim belt last year.
