Bali MMA Pro Team made their first appearance at Brave 12: KHK Legacy. Bali MMA is based in Bali, Indonesia and was featured among the list of top MMA gyms in Asia by Fox Sports and ONE Championship. Kaan Ofli, Zeck Lange and John Brewin fought for the first time in Brave Combat Federation on 11th May at Jakarta, Indonesia.
Zeck Lange took on the 2017 IMMAF Gold Medalist, Gamzat Magomedov who made his professional debut. The fight night started on a disappointing note to the Bali based fight team, with Lange's fight going the distance to declare Magomedov as the winner by unanimous decision.
Kaan Ofli was set to face Jeremy Pacatiw from Team Lakay. Pacatiw was fighting his fifth fight at Brave Combat Federation and during the first round, he nearly locked Ofli in a submission. The next two rounds witnessed Ofli retaliating with a strategic game plan.
The more experienced Pacatiw stayed on despite the relentless efforts put forth by Ofli to finish the fight within the rounds. The bout went on to the judges who declared Ofli as the winner by unanimous decision.
John Brewin made his professional debut at Brave 12: KHK Legacy against the undefeated Hardeep Rai from the United Kingdom. Rai is also a medalist at the 2015 IMMAF World Championships. The bout initiated with both the fighters trying to establish dominance with the striking game.
Brewin gained the upper hand by landing significant strikes with accuracy. Soon, Rai took the game to the ground and Brewin countered the attempt and took the mount to dominate Rai. However it was in the second round, Brewin went straight for the finish undermining the game plan of Rai. The bout resulted in a stoppage declaring Brewin as the winner by TKO.
Two among the three fighters ended up with a victory in their first appearance in Brave Combat Federation. Both the victories came by way of overcoming seasoned fighters of the promotion. In the first appearance, Bali MMA Pro Team showcased promising performance and further expanded the Asian presence in Brave Combat Federation.
