MMA News: Brave Combat Federation Announces Plans for India

Mohammed Shahid, President of BRAVE Combat Federation has announced plans to focus on India MMA

BRAVE Combat Federation has announced more plans to take up the in-roads of Asian MMA. In the pilot event hosted by BRAVE, it was evident that MMA in Asia is all set to breach into the next level. The event also witnessed a sizeable Indian crowd which had gathered to cheer the Indian fighters.

The level of talent and the impressive crowd reaction, during the first Brave Combat Federation card, has prompted BRAVE Combat Federation to announce plans for India.

The President of BRAVE Combat Federation, Mohammed Shahid guaranteed that India will be a top priority for the MMA promotion in the coming years.

"We are really fascinated by the response of the Indian fans in Bahrain and, of course by the performance of the athletes from India. India had two wins during the event and even those who didn't end up with their arms raised delivered an amazing show.”

He was further quoted as saying that:

“We indeed have plans to take BRAVE to India as we believe that it will also pave a path for future prospects that can compete at a progressive global platform. It is amazing to see MMA veterans like Frankie Edgar, coming forward with nothing but praises for the pilot event of BRAVE Combat Federation. India will share our priority of bringing the best to athletes, and now it is more than ever!"

After a successful first event in Bahrain, headlined by the victory of Mohammed Farhad and Mohammed Atif where three Indian MMA fighters participated including Farhad, Abdul Muneer and Suny Khatri, Brave Combat Federation has an event planned for India in 2017.

It is no question that BRAVE could very well provide the push that the Indian MMA scene has been looking for, for a long time. Their association with some of the biggest stars in the MMA world could also build bridges for the Indian athletes which they could then subsequently cross over to hopefully do India proud internationally.

We at SK can't wait to see how this turns out!
