Marlon Moraes is set to face Raphael Assuncao at UFC Fight Night 144. Both men are top fighters in the division and are ready for their critical fight. Headlining the card in Brazil, the fight might go a long way in determining the picture of the Division as a whole.

The winner of the fight might even be in line for a title fight of their own soon.

Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assuncao are no strangers to each other, as they have faced each other in the Octagon on one previous occasion.

That time, Marlon Moraes was unsuccessful and Raphael Assuncao came away with the crucial win for himself. This time, Moraes will be looking for a change and comes into the fight prepared for his opponent.

I had a chance to catch up with Marlon Moraes ahead of his fight with Raphael Assuncao.

Tune in to Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD to catch all the action from UFC Fight Night 144: Assuncao vs Moraes 2. The show will start at 6:30 AM.

Q. Having faced Raphael Assuncao before and just coming up short, is there any difference in the way you've prepared this time around?

MM: It’s always a tough fight and it was a tough fight. I have been training harder and I have been improving since we last fought each other. I am looking forward to going out there on Saturday night and be better than before and win the fight.

Q. You've won three big fights on your way to this one. Do you think if with a win here you could be the next challenger for the title?

MM: I want to be the best in this weight class. Me and Raphael (Assuncao) are two of the best in this division
