Renato Moicano is heading into the fight of his life at UFC Fight Night 144: Assuncao vs Moraes 2, where he will be facing a man he has a lot of respect for.

While Raphael Assuncao and Marlon Moraes will be facing each other in the main event of the night, the co-main event promises to be quite the fight as well. Renato Moicano is set to face off against Jose Aldo.

Moicano has been outspoken of late about wanting to face Max Holloway, saying that he was the person to beat the Champion for the title. However, he revealed that he was completely focused on Aldo ahead of their fight.

I was able to catch up with Renato Moicano before his fight against Jose Aldo at UFC Fight Night 144 and pose a few questions before him.

Tune in to Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD for all the action from UFC Fight Night 144: Assuncao vs Moraes.

Q. What do you think of your upcoming fight against Jose Aldo being 3 rounds instead of the 5 it could have been?

RM: I think that it’s okay, I am here to fight. If UFC wants to do a 3 round bout, I am okay with it.

Q. You mentioned recently that you are the guy to beat Max Holloway for the title. Is that something at the back of your mind?

RM: Yes, not right now because I am focussed on Saturday but I think I can beat anyone in this division.

Q. You've mentioned a lot of times how well you think of Jose Aldo. Do you think it's going to be a huge challenge to beat him?

RM: It will be a challenge, for sure, he is a former champion but I know I am prepared and capable and I will do this.
