Fabricio Andrade is feeling less pressure going into his rematch with John Lineker than he did in their first meeting four months ago.

On Friday, February 24, ‘Wonder Boy’ will once again step into the main event spotlight with ONE gold on the line as he runs back in his ONE on Prime Video 3 showdown with former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker. Ahead of the highly anticipated rematch, Andrade discussed his mindset going into Friday’s headliner compared to where he was in October:

“My training was perfect,” Andrade revealed in a ONE Fight Night 7 pre-event interview. “This camp was much more enjoyable than the last one. I think after that fight, I put pressure on myself. I was still coming for the fight. I was still trying to show how good I was. And coming to this one, I already know I'm the number one bantamweight in the world now.”

Despite their first meeting ending in an unfortunate no-contest, following an ill-placed knee from Andrade, ‘Wonder Boy’ still managed to snag the No. 1 spot on ONE Championship’s bantamweight rankings with an otherwise spectacular, if not dominant, performance against the former champion.

Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America can watch the epic rematch live and for free in U.S. primetime this Friday night.

John Lineker admits Fabricio Andrade was one of his toughest tests

Over the course of his 15-year career in combat sports, John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker has stepped inside the cage with some of the toughest fighters in the world, but perhaps none were tougher than his ONE on Prime Video 3 opponent Fabricio Andrade:

“I've had many tough fights,” Lineker told Sportskeeda MMA. “So I can say that Andrade was one of the toughest challenges I faced. I've already had quite tough fights, but Andrade gave me a lot of work.”

Through three and a half rounds, Lineker found it difficult to execute his offense and nearly found himself on the verge of being finished. With another opportunity to meet Fabricio Andrade under the ONE Championship banner, ‘Hands of Stone’ will undoubtedly walk into Friday’s showdown with an updated game plan and a strong passion to reclaim the ONE bantamweight world championship.

Will John Lineker solve the puzzle of Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 7 or will ‘Wonder Boy’ prove to be too much for the MMA veteran to handle?
