Nong-O Gaiyanghadao kicked off ONE Championship’s Friday Fights series with a bang last weekend as he successfully defended his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship in spectacular fashion. The legendary Thai striker scored his 10th straight win inside the Circle with a massive third-round knockout of Alaverdi Ramazanov.

Nong-O draws strength from the fans at Lumpinee Stadium

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao delivered another show-stopping performance on Friday night to help ONE Championship kick off its new series of Friday night events. Held exclusively at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium, fans in Thailand packed the house for the historic event.

Speaking about the importance of competing in the legendary location and the roar of the crowd, the Thai legend told ONE Championship:

“Thai people always love combat sports. I want them to come to Lumpinee stadium until there is no space left. Because every time I hit an opponent and hear the cheering noise from the fans, it makes my spirits high and eager to go on and on and on. And I can perform better, too. The greater the audience the better I perform.”

Fans will once again head to Lumpinee Stadium on January 27 for another iconic night of Friday matchups. ONE Friday Fights 2 is scheduled to be headlined by a bantamweight Muay Thai rematch between four-time Muay Thai world champion Sangmanee PK.Saenchai and two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai.
