ONE Championship released an intense promo video for the rematch between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker.
October 21, 2022, was supposed to be an unforgettable night for Andrade. ‘Wonder Boy’ finally secured a bantamweight title fight against John Lineker and had the former world champion in trouble.
‘Wonder Boy’ was arguably closing in on a finish before landing an illegal groin shot that broke Lineker’s cup, leading to a no-contest. The division was left without a champion since ‘Hands of Stone’ missed weight and vacated the world title.
Four months after their first fight, Andrade and Lineker will determine the bantamweight king with a rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. ONE recently posted a promo video on YouTube with the caption:
“An in-depth look at the shocking first ONE Bantamweight World Title showdown between bitter rivals John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade ahead of their highly anticipated rematch for the vacant divisional crown on February 24 at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video!”
After starting his pro-MMA career with a 3-2 record, Andrade won all five of his ONE Championship fights before the no-contest. Meanwhile, Lineker joined ONE with a credentialed background, which led to four consecutive wins. This included an unforgettable knockout against 11x bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes.
The question is, which Brazilian will emerge victorious at ONE Fight Night 7?

Fabricio Andrade believes he will knock out John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7
Fabricio Andrade has been tormenting John Lineker with trash talk for over a year. The 25-year-old believes he has Lineker’s number and hasn’t been afraid to call his shot. During an interview with SCMP MMA, Andrade had this to say about his upcoming rematch against ‘Hands of Stone’:
“I just need to be relaxed. I am a better fighter than he is. I have more speed, I have more power. I have more skills than he does. I need to take my time, and I should go there and enjoy my time and eventually knock him out. Because this is going to happen.”
Andrade and Lineker are prepared to do whatever it takes to win in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7. In the co-main event, Tawanchai will look to secure his first featherweight Muay Thai world title defense against Jamal Yusupov.
