A pair of hard-hitting heavyweights are set to rock Myanmar, as former ONE Heavyweight World Championship challenger Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli of Italy meets Hong Kong-based Cameroonian Alain “The Panther” Ngalani in a must-see matchup at ONE: REIGN OF VALOR set for Friday, 8 March at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon.

A former Cage Warriors Heavyweight World Champion, Cerilli returns to the ONE cage for the second time in his career after coming off a world title loss to ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera back in late 2018.

Prior to his loss to Vera, Cerilli was on a massive winning streak, stringing together five consecutive wins, four of which coming via stoppage.

“The Hammer” now looks for his first win under the ONE Championship banner.

Standing in his way however, will be a promotional veteran in Ngalani.

Owner of the fastest knockout in ONE heavyweight history at just 11 seconds, Ngalani has proven over and over again that he is one of the world’s most dangerous strikers.

Ngalani kept himself busy in the ONE Super Series in 2018, but he still has momentum in mixed martial arts, with victories in two of his last three contests.

“The Panther” looks to build a winning streak for himself when he meets Cerilli in a pivotal heavyweight bout.

The Cerilli-Ngalani bout is the latest to be added to the already-stacked ONE: REIGN OF VALOR card in Yangon, which is headlined by a ONE Welterweight World Championship bout between reigning titleholder Zebastian “The Bandit” Kadestam of Sweden and challenger Georgiy “Knight” Kichigin of Kazakhstan.
