Idris Elba is proving yet againg that age is just a number. The 43 year old British actor will be testing his limits as a professional kickboxer. “It has been a lifelong ambition of mine to fight professionally,” said Elba.
“Entering the ring to further test myself as a human being is a challenge I have been looking to take on for quite some time.” Elba used to train for kickboxing two decades ago but have never competed in a match.
The fans will get to see Idris getting ready for his fight on the upcoming documentary series “Idris Elba: Fighter.” The show will showcase the journey of Idris and his training saga in Britain, Cuba, Japan, South Africa and Thailand.
The British actor will enlist new training methods to increase his chances of having a victory.
