Ilir Latifi to corner Michael Diega Scheck at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions

Swedish mixed martial artist, Ilir Latifi who competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the UFC has arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain for Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions. A two-time national wrestling champion and a professional MMA competitor since 2008 will be at the corner of Michael Deiga Scheck.
Michael Diega Scheck will be facing former gold IMMAF gold medalist and Straight Blast Gym prospect, Frans Mlambo. Frans Mlambo is training under John Kavanagh who will also be at his corner when he faces Michael at Brave. Frans was the training partner of Conor McGregor leading to his super-fight against Floyd Mayweather. Mlambo finished his amateur career with a sweep of four victories to claim the IMMAF gold medal at the 2015 IMMAF Amateur World Championships in Las Vegas, USA. The bout is significant because apart from the action in the cage, this marks for the first time Latifi will be in the corner against John Kavanagh who will corner Frans Mlambo.
Coming off a victory at UFC 215, Ilir Latifi (13-5-0) is climbing the ranks of the UFC light heavyweight ranks. Latifi has set his sets on Ovince Saint Preux (21-10-0) who is riding a two-fight win streak of his own.Latifi had taken on the undefeated prospect Tyson Pedro on September 9, 2017, at UFC 215. Latifi capitalised on his strong wrestling and overall power, to win the fight by unanimous decision, handing Pedro the first loss of his career.
