MMA News: Indian Mixed Martial Artist under contract for International Event

Indian Mixed Martial Arts has been making its mark in the International scene for quite a while. Mohammed Farhad (9-2-0) is the latest Indian sensation to hit the International Mixed Martial Arts scene.

One of the most promising Mixed Martial Artists in India has signed a contract with Brave Combat Federation, of which details are yet to be revealed for the upcoming Fight Night on 23rd September, 2016 at Khalifa Sports City, Manama in Isa Town.

Farhad has established himself on the top of Indian Bantamweight division with 9 TKO victories. Currently he is training with Team Relentless with veteran coach Jitendra Khare. To be noted is that Farhad is a 5 times State Champion, Muaythai (Maharashtra) who has won the Best Fighter Award in Muaythai India.

The former 2 time Muaythai National Champion has also represented India against Pakistan in SFL, Dubai winning the match by TKO.

Mohammed Farhad also remains to be one of the few Indian Mixed Martial Artists who broke into the film industry. His action sequences in the bollywood movie Baaghi - The Rebel offered him more opportunities in Bollywood.

Mohammed Farhad is focused on his Pro- MMA career and his upcoming fight. “My dream is to represent India on the global stage. I have no excuses but my goal is to excel each day and leave a legacy that the upcoming Indian athletes can look upto.”

Brave Combat Federation is the new international MMA organization based in Bahrain. Founded under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad al Khalifa, a member the Bahraini royal family, the promotion will feature fighters from all over the world in its debut card, with four different continents represented on the cage.

The main event of the first Brave is the welterweight clash of the Middle Eastern superstar Mohammed Fakhreddine and the undefeated Brazilian prospect Thiago Vieira. The co-main event will be the much anticipated reckoning between the rivals Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady and Rami Aziz, in the lightweight division.
