After her first-round submission victory in her last bout, Malaysian sensation Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan is back in action this Friday against ONE Championship newcomer Denice “The Menace Fairtex” Zamboanga.

The two will lock horns in the main card of ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS, set for the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on 6 December.

It’s another short-notice bout for “Shadow Cat” but Radzuan has always proven to be battle-ready no matter the circumstances.

“This is my seventh bout in my career, so I think I am getting used to life as a martial artist,” Radzuan laughed.

“Jokes aside, it has been quite an intense training camp because I took the bout on pretty short notice. But luckily, even during the off-season, I am training in preparation for a bout. Generally, I am always learning new skills, always sharpening my weaknesses and so far, I am feeling great.”

Radzuan has thus far enjoyed a 5-1 professional record in her young career. The only loss on her slate is a split-decision setback to veteran Gina Iniong earlier this year. Radzuan has since bounced back from that defeat and now looks forward to continuing her winning ways.

She’s always in shape and is excited to perform in front of her hometown crowd in Kuala Lumpur.

“I think I was destined for this card,” Radzuan said.

“So I have been staying in shape because I knew I was going to get a bout before the end of the year.”

As such, Radzuan wants to leave a lasting impression and put forth another spectacular showing in the final ONE Championship event of 2019.

“If I were to rate how I am feeling, I would say I am doing at least eight out of 10,” Radzuan said.

“I do feel a bit up-and-down at times, but it is the same feeling I get. Sometimes you feel great, sometimes you feel awful. I think every athlete experiences these kinds of feelings ahead of any bout.”
