Joe Rogan is impressed with Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s iron chin based off of his mixed-rules performance against Demetrious Johnson.

Considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound Muay Thai strikers in the world, ‘Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon is finally getting the recognition he deserves on North American soil.

After touching gloves with Demetrious Johnson in a special super-fight to commemorate ONE Championship’s 10th anniversary, the Thai native won over new fans with his striking prowess and wild ability to absorb punches.

UFC commentator and American podcaster Joe Rogan, in particular, is amazed by his durability and how he carries himself inside the ring. In a recent interaction with Demetrious Johnson on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast (JRE), this is what the UFC commentator had to say about the Muay Thai phenom:

“That mother****er can take a shot, it’s weird. He stands down and lets guys punch him in the face. Who the f**k does that at an elite level other than like Anderson [Silva] in his prime?”

Rodtang vs. Johnson was the first time ONE Championship brought two fighting legends together from distinct disciplines to fight under the Muay Thai and MMA rules.

Surviving the onslaught of leg kicks and power punches by Jitmuangnon in the Muay Thai round, ‘Mighty Mouse’ ultimately captured the finish in the next round with a rear-naked choke in MMA.

Taking with him the lessons he learned from his fight with Johnson, ‘Iron Man’ is on a collision course to defend his flyweight belt against former rival and ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri.

He will put his chin to the test once again after pulling out of the Grand Prix tournament last August due to weight and hydration issues. Fans are therefore excited to see the Pattaya slugger make his entrance, as he takes on ‘The Hurricane’ at ONE on Prime Video 4 this month.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon sends a warning message to Joseph Lasiri

Rodtang Jitmuangnon sent a warning message to Joseph Lasiri, who is moving up a weight class to challenge him for his flyweight world title.

‘Iron Man' is coming off a dominant decision-victory over Jacob Smith in the Grand Prix quarter-finals. Regrettably, the Pattaya native couldn’t continue to participate in the tournament, so he’s eager to make a comeback statement against a formidable adversary in the Italian strawweight challenger, Joseph Lasiri.

Sending a warning message to Lasiri on Instagram recently, the 25-year-old standout said:

“Moving up a weightclass to fight me is not a good idea #ONEonPrimeVideo4”
