Bellator News: Ken Shamrock tests positive for Methadone, Kimbo Slice for steroids

The veteran dopers

Bellator is engulfed in a huge controversy and it just doesn’t seem to wither away. Bellator 149 would arguably go down as a hyped headache for the promotion, that has arguably put the sport 10 years back. The event that featured Kimbo Slice, Dada 5000, Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie as the headliners, ended in the worst way possible with Shamrock and Kimbo testing positive for banned substances.

The names of the substances weren't revealed in public domain earlier and when it did come out in the open, it wasn’t good at all. Both Shamrock and Kimbo tested positive for insanely high testosterone levels that read at 12.4:1 and 6.4:1 respectively. This is well above the prescribed Texas limit of 4:1 and easily calls for strict repercussions.

According to ESPN's Brett Okamoto, Methadone and Nandrolone were found in the system of Shamrock that points to some serious issues. While Nandrolone is a well-known anabolic steroid that is a regularly circulated product, Methadone is used to treat drug addictions.

Many more hidden secrets to come out of Shamrock’s closet? We’ll have to wait and see.

When it comes to Kimbo, he tested positive for Nandrolone and would meet the same deserved fate that awaits Shamrock, according to MMAFighting. Both Kimbo and the former WWE star Shamrock, are looking at one-year suspensions each for the grave irregularities.
