Daniel Cormier vs Jon Jones 2 ruled out?

I’m going home. Tell the world I’m going home

Yet another injury puts UFC 197 headliner bout Daniel “DC” Cormier vs Jon “Bones” Jones rematch on hold.

According to sources close to American Kickboxing Academy, the Light Heavyweight champion has suffered a leg injury due to which his rematch with Jon "Bones" Jones at UFC 197 scheduled on April 23rd is predicted to be ruled out.

Apparently, DC was recently seen limping at a wrestling tournament due to a left leg injury and sources confirm that he in fact is injured. The extent and status of the injury is unknown and the catch is, UFC hasn't made any official announcement so far regarding this issue.

Jones, the former UFC light heavyweight champion – and Cormeir, had first fought at UFC 182. Jones was able to defend his title in a unanimous decision, but for all that, it wasn’t until soon that he was suspended due to an involvement in a hit and run case.

Since Bones was stripped of the title, the spot was vacant. In a bout with Anthony Johnson, DC won a second round submission and also the title.

Later, Jones was given another chance to reclaim his title but his to and fro legal battles including a recent arrest was an indication to the UFC 197 headliner not happeneing. This time however, Jones was all clear and surprisingly Cormier isn’t.

Will Jon Jones be offered another fight or pulled out and rebooked? A tantalizing bout with Rumble and Bones sounds great if DC does pull out.
