MMA News: Brock Lesnar will fight at UFC 200

Brock Lesnar is set to come out of retirement for UFC 200

In a shocking announcement made after Max Hollaway’s fight against Ricardo Lamas at UFC 199, a UFC 200 promo that aired contained a huge announcement: BROCK LESNAR WILL MAKE HIS COMEBACK.

Lesnar was one of the most popular heavyweight champions in the division in his initial UFC stint, knocking out Randy Couture to win the title. This was a huge upset as an ex-professional wrestler beat a more experienced MMA legend and also finished him.

He proved once again that he was a legitimate fighter as he battered Frank Mir and avenged his previous submission loss against the veteran. He made his second defense against Shane Carwin which had turned out to be one of the bloodiest fights in the heavyweight division, finishing him with an arm triangle choke.

Coming from a pro-wrestling background, he took the fight world by storm by debuting in the UFC late at the age of 29. Till date, the record set at UFC 100, an event headlined by Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir, still holds the all-time PPV numbers for the company.

It is only fitting that he returns at UFC 200 again.
