MMA News: Conor McGregor protected after media conferences according to Cerrone!

Cowboy doing his thing!

The most common tales of an MMA rivalry involve the pre-fight heat between the fighters during the press conferences and weigh-ins. Conor McGregor is an apparent master of that art. The Irishman, who has been outspoken and broken almost all of his opponents mentally before every fight, has been called out by Donald Cerrone for being protected after he shoots at his fellow UFC fighters on the dais during press conferences.

“They make us all stand in a line, but they take Conor and put him in another room because he can't be around the other fighters because we don't play that s***,” Cerrone explained to Foxsports.

The new star in the UFC’s welterweight division expressed his displeasure regarding UFC fighters not being able to reach McGregor after the commotion he creates, while in the presence of the press.

“I just tune him out, because behind the scenes he is like a scared little kid.”

Cerrone went on trying to bring down his character, saying, “He's not one of the fellas, he's not a good dude. It is what it is. He does a good job promoting the sport; he does a good job of making money. So I can't hate the guy for that, but just as a person, he ain't a fan of mine.'

Cerrone sticks to his ‘Cowboy’ gimmick and often wins the heart of MMA fans when he steps up to challenges on short notices.

'He's definitely good for the sport. He's got a lot of eyes. He brings a lot of people,' Cerrone continued. 'So my hat's off to him for that, but just like hang with him like a fella, no, he'd never be my buddy.'

This won’t be the first time Cerrone has tried to bite the Irish superstar. During one of the occasions when both the fighters had to attend the same press conference Cerrone had revealed that McGregor did or said nothing when the two were waiting next to one another for the press conference to begin.
