Brave Combat Federation signed Karl Amoussou on a multiple fight contract. Amoussou is the current Welterweight Champion at Cage Warriors and have competed in promotions including Strikeforce, DREAM, M-1 Global, Pancrase and Bellator.

Karl started training at Judo at the age of three and a half years with his father while his older brother Bertrand is a medal-winning judoka for France in the 1990 European Judo Championships. Inspired by Bertrand Amoussou who fought in Pride FC, Karl started his MMA training at 18.

He moved to Chute Boxe, Brazil to train beside Wanderlei Silva before making his professional debut. Known for his outstanding ground game, Amoussou has never been submitted in his Mixed Martial Arts career spanning 34 fights. Amoussou has finished 17 out of his 24 victories in the very first round and the last fighter to gain a TKO victory over Amoussou is Ben Askren.

Amoussou will be joining the fierce welterweight division of Brave Combat Federation. During the signing he had stated his ambition to take over the championship title at Brave Combat Federation and reign the promotion. He will be joining the ranks of Jarrah Al Selawe, Carlston Harris, Tahar Hadbi, David Bear, Ahmed Amir, Erik Carlsson, Mohammed Fakhreddine, Gadzhimusa Gaziev and Sidney Wheeler in the Welterweight division which is one among the toughest in the world.

Amoussou has targeted the Welterweight champion of the promotion, Carlston Harris who is recovering from his injury alongside his longtime rival Tahar Hadbi. After challenging the champion, he had challenged Hadbi for the interim title fight if Carlston Harris is unable to defend the championship due to injury. Amoussou also stated that Brave Combat Federation could aid in making Mixed Martial Arts events legal in France.

Currently hosting MMA events is banned by law in France. He also stated his desire to represent France at the earliest in Brave Combat Federation. The promotion will be hosting its upcoming event in Brazil on April 13th at Belo Horizonte at the Arena Mineirinho, to mark the third promotional event in Brazil.
