The UFC featherweight champion is known for hardcore trash talk and his ‘tough guy’ persona in and outside the Octagon. But when it comes to kids, the Notorious apparently has a soft side that we see glimpses of, from time to time.
McGregor must have probably earned the respect of many fans and ‘haters’ out there with his latest Instagram and Twitter posts.
A little girl who Conor had met only a few hours ago didn’t have a cellphone or anyone else near to take a picture with her hero, so she could show her friends. Mcgregor meant a lot to the girl and the Notorious One seemed to understand. So he used his own cell phone to take a picture alongside the child and posted it on Instagram and Twitter with a caption stating- ‘To the little lady who left her phone at home.’
This would only be a dream for most of the fans. However, this is not the first time the UFC Superstar has shown a soft spot for children. Before his match with Jose Aldo he spoke to a dying kid who was a hardcore fan of The Notorious one. McGregor said the conversation with the dying boy, whose dying wish was to meet the Irish fighter, got him really emotional and stated that he had never felt such grief before.
This shows that even warriors who bleed and inflict untold violence in the Octagon are more than capable of a generous gesture to any hardcore fan.
