Canadian Light Heavyweight and UFC vetaran Ryan Jimmo, 34, passed away this weekend when he was run over by a vehicle. It is also reported on Wrestlinginc.com that an altercation had ensued between Jimmo and the driver of the vehicle prior to the incident.

The news report published by CBS News read the following:

“An altercation occurred between the drivers of two vehicles at around 2:15 a.m." this morning in the parking lot of H2O Lounge in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The 34-year-old driver of one vehicle walked up to the occupants of the other vehicle.

When he began to walk away, police say the suspects' vehicle accelerated and struck him before leaving the scene. The suspects' vehicle, a dark-colored pickup truck police say was occupied by two Caucasian males, then fled … and nearly hit a red car”

Further details are impending, with it being reported that the suspects are still at large.

Ryan Jimmo fought 7 times in the UFC, winning 3 fights including his first one with an impressive knockout of Anthony Perosh. His last fight was on May 30 2015, in a losing effort against Francimar Barroso. Fellow MMA pros took to social media in earnest to express their condolensces at his passing.
