Rousey reasons with Dana White about UFC 193 loss, Gleison Tibau suspended

He knows

After her much upsetting loss to Holly Holm, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey was avoiding both media and public appearances.

While she refused to elaborate on her loss to the media, an exception was being made for Dana White.

‘Rowdy’ opens up about her loss and reasons for the same to the UFC president and old friend. Apparently, White has been in touch with his wounded soldier almost every day after the fight.

He says, “I’ve talked to her almost every day after the fight and when she sat down with me and Lorenzo a few days ago, she said, ‘I was exhausted going into that fight. I was exhausted mentally, physically, emotionally,” White says.

White then steps in to back her opinion by stating, “She had a lot of personal things going on, too, with her family.”

Go figure!

Looks like the wounded Bantamweight Queen needs time off to lick her wounds and get back to her A game. Meanwhile, a fateful rematch is underway for her in 2016 and Rousey appears to be healing.

Say what?

- United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is back at work with doing what it's best at- suspension.

One of UFC's longest serving veteran and lightweight fighter Gleison Tibau was "provisionally suspended" by UFC 's independent administrator, USADA.

UFC announced this on December 4th, 2015 that they have suspended the Brazilian fighter due to a failed drug test. This is an out-of-competition drug test failure of Tibau. UFC stated an official statement on their website which says:

"The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has notified both Gleison Tibau and UFC that he has been provisionally suspended due to a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition test.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Gleison Tibau. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time in the process.”

The case seems still a blur. Tibau was last seen in action nearly a month ago where he defeated his last opponent Abel Trujillo at UFC Fight Night 77 on Nov. 7. This win also helped him improving his UFC record to 17-9.

Regardless of failing the eye test, Tibau has stayed perfectly clear in his nine-year UFC run, never failing a single drug test. Unless this report is stated and explained cleary, his reputation seems to remain intact.
