ONE Championship’s historic partnership with Amazon Prime Video has delivered fans a series of events highlighted by some of the biggest finishes in mixed martial arts this year. Already taking a look at some of the most impressive knockouts on Prime Video today, we look at three incredible submission victories that took place exclusively on Prime Video.
#3) Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida heel hooks Kirill Grishenko in 64 seconds
Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida has been nothing short of spectacular since making his promotional debut in late 2021. In four appearances, the 17-time BJJ world champion has scored a knockout and three submission victories, none more impressive than his 64-second submission of Kirill Grishenko at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August.
Squaring off with the heavy-hitting Belarusian, many thought ‘Buchecha’ could struggle with trying to get Grishenko to the mat. A minute into the contest, those concerns were alleviated as he shot in and scored a takedown with ease. As Grishenko attempted to escape, ‘Buchecha’ snagged his leg and, in a flash, locked in a nasty heel hook, forcing the tap out just seconds later.

#2) Kade Ruotolo makes history… Again
Fresh off his historic run at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championships, Kade Ruotolo made history once again, becoming the first-ever lightweight submission grappling world champion at ONE on Prime Video 3.
Facing a dangerous sambo world champion in Uali Kurzhev, Ruotolo displayed complete dominance, taking Kurzhev’s back just 30 seconds into the bout. Ruotolo maintained control for nearly two and a half minutes before Kurzhev was able to shake him loose and separate.
The separation didn’t last long as Ruotolo stayed in hot pursuit, landing another takedown and getting a hold of Kurzhev’s right leg. Rolling over, Ruotolo locked in a vicious heel hook, leaving Kurzhev no choice but to tap out just 4:26 into the contest.
#1) Danielle Kelly returns with a bang at ONE on Prime Video 4
Submission grappling star Danielle Kelly made waves in her ONE Championship debut at the promotion’s 10th-year anniversary showcase in March. Eight long months later, Kelly returned to the circle to take on sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova.
Starting on her back, Kelly pulled Molchanova into her guard. Just 25 seconds into the match, Kelly transitioned onto Molchanova’s back and immediately began fishing for a rear-naked choke. After hand fighting for roughly 90 seconds, Molchanova made it back to her feet with Kelly riding her like a backpack.
With the body triangle locked on, Kelly reset her grip and fought for the finish. Unable to break Kelly’s grip, Molchanova slammed herself onto the canvas, but that only allowed Kelly to cinch the choke in even further. Unable to break the hold, Molchanova tapped out at the 2:15 mark.
