Ahmed Mujtaba ready to beat Sage Northcutt at any cost: “I’m ready to give my life for this”

Ahmed Mujtaba will do whatever it takes to defeat Sage Northcutt at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

On May 5, Mujtaba will have the biggest opportunity of his career waiting inside the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado. The Pakistan-born fighter is matched up against Northcutt, a rising superstar, with a chance to steal his spotlight at ONE Fight Night 10.

During an interview with ONE, Mujtaba had this to say about his upcoming fight:

“I’m coming from a very rough situation. I’m coming from a very rough part. So, I don’t want to lose at any cost. Like, no matter if my life is gone, I’m ready to give my life for this. I have to win at any cost.”

Mujtaba made his ONE debut in November 2016, defeating Benedict Ang by unanimous decision. In his past two fights, 'Wolverine' secured back-to-back first-round finishes against Rahul Raju and Abraao Amorim.

Ahmed Mujtaba is hungry for a win against Sage Northcutt

As stated above, Ahmed Mujtaba didn’t have the easiest life growing up. The Pakistan-born fighter has grinded to a better situation and plans to skyrocket his value with an upset win at ONE Fight Night 10.

During an interview with the promotion, Mujtaba warned Sage Northcutt not to underestimate him by saying:

“He’s going to be afraid as well. I’m not an easy guy to fight against because I need the win as well, because I’m hungry for the win, too.”

Northcutt will be equally motivated to secure a win on May 5. ‘Super Sage' made a disappointing promotional debut in May 2019, suffering several facial fractures in a knockout loss against Cosmo Alexandre. The 27-year-old American is now looking to get back on track after medical issues kept him sidelined for four years.

Mujtaba must overcome the massive support that 'Super Sage' will receive in Colorado. ONE Fight Night 10 is the promotion’s first event on North American soil, and the fans will be on Northcutt’s side.
