Aljamain Sterling makes feelings known after fan calls his boxing "a**"

Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is not the kind to shy away from engaging anybody when it comes to a battle of words - even trolls on X. Sterling is set to face Movsar Evloev at UFC 310 this December. It would be the former bantamweight king's second bout at featherweight since moving up a weight class this year.

As per usual, the former champ has some detractors ahead of his December fight, some of which he willingly engages with on X. One such detractor is X user @D_DMR2, who didn't give Sterling any chances against his Russian opponent:

"[Aljamain] Sterling’s boxing is a** bro he has his chances with grappling but Iudoubt he does anything when [Diego] Lopes couldn’t submit [Movasr] Evloev thoses caucasian grapplers all have insane grappling defense"

Not letting the post slide, 'Funk Master' replied:

"Not to intervene too much in you guys’ debate, but to say my boxing “is a**” is… comical. Other than a botched rehydration performance against Yan 1, how did you come to this conclusion?"

Aljamain Sterling says he has the style to "neutralize' Ilia Topuria's power

@D_DMR2's aforementioned post on X was a reply to a video uploaded by Championship Rounds featuring Aljamian Sterling, where he provided an assessment of UFC featherweight champ Ilia Topuria's massive KO win over Max Holloway at UFC 308 last weekend.

The video, which was a clip from a longer YouTube video from Sterling's channel, saw 'Funkmaster' assess how he'll fare against 'El Matador':

"If I were to fight him [Topuria], you know, God willing, Inshalla, I beat Movzar [Evloev] and do get the crack, I do think I have a great style to neutralize his offense. Bro, most of these guys are striking with him. I ain't doing that, bro. We sitting there looking for our takedown, then we're gonna make it a grappling match. I'm trying to get the dub, I'm not trying to get my head and my brain sent into the next dimension again."

If Sterling does beat the undefeated No. 5-ranked Movsar Evloev in December, he might make a strong case for a world title shot next. His grappling is his strong suit and if he can use it to defeat the Master of Greco-Roman wrestling in Evloev, he might just do the same to Topuria.
