Thai slugger Nakrob Fairtex touts an improved version of himself as a fighter when he returns to action this weekend. He is armed with the adjustments he has made from the lessons he learned from his previous matches.

The 26-year-old Fairtex Training Center affiliate, the No. 5 flyweight Muay Thai contender, is to battle fellow Thai fighter Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi in a flyweight scrap at ONE Fight Night 32 on June 6. It is the headlining contest of the event happening at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In an interview with combat sports journalist Nick Atkin in line with his scheduled match, Nakrob shared that he made enhancements in his game after seeing shortcomings in his performances previously, including one against fellow flyweight contender Kongthoranee Sor Sommai.

"I watched my performance against him, and I realized that I was too slow. I need more speed in order to catch Kongthoranee. When I got knocked down, I got really nervous. And I wanted to get a knockdown, too. So, all the plans changed."

The match between Nakrob and Kongthoranee took place in December last year, with the former losing by unanimous decision.

Nakrob bounced back from the defeat, knocking out Puengluang Baanramba in his next match last March. He is now looking to build on it with a victory at ONE Fight Night 32 over Jaosuayai, who is on a roll, winning his last four matches.

ONE Fight Night 32 is available live at U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Nakrob also sees an improved fighter in Jaosuayai

As much as he has improved his game, Nakrob said Jaosuayai has also evolved as a fighter, making their headlining match at ONE Fight Night 32 all the more interesting.

The Surin native pointed it out in an interview with ONE Championship, citing marked improvements in Jaosuayai's arsenal.

Nakrob said:

“Jaosuayai is a really good fighter. He’s got sharp weapons and quick footwork. He’s improved a lot since his debut fight. His strength is his sharp and fast punches, for sure."

He went to say:

"As for his weaknesses, I gotta admit, I can barely see any. I have to say, he’s very skilled.”

Nakrob has been a steady force since coming on board ONE Championship in 2023 through the Friday Fights series. He has an overall record in the promotion of 10-2.
