Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi has always shown his calculated side, but he decided to shift gears in the biggest win of his young career. The Thai rising star secured a pivotal victory in his ONE Championship career when he knocked out Nakrob Fairtex in their flyweight Muay Thai showdown.

Nakrob unleashed his menacing side when he flatlined Nakrob in the main event of ONE Fight Night 32 this past weekend at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.

In his post-fight interview with Nick Atkin, Jaosuayai said he could always turn up the intensity when he wanted, but took a calculated approach in his ONE Championship tenure since he was often matched up against taller opponents.

He said:

"Yes, I’m actually always ready to trade punches and kicks. I’m not always on my back foot."

Most expected Jaosuayai to fight off the backfoot against the marauding Nakrob, but he quickly flipped the script from the opening bell.

Jaosuayai initially gauged his distance before landing a thunderous roundhouse kick straight to Nakrob's temple before unloading a flurry that dropped the Fairtex Training Center man 32 seconds into the first.

After unloading another flurry of punches, Jaosuayai ended Nakrob's misery with a venomous left roundhouse kick for the emphatic knockout win in front of a mental Bangkok crowd.

Jaosuayai's fifth straight win catapulted him into potential matches against the division's elite, including old nemesis Kongthoranee Sor Sommai, former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama, ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, and former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Jaosuayai surprised he knocked Nakrob out in less than a minute

Jaosuayai was ready for a barnburner against Nakrob Fairtex, but he won't complain with the sub-minute knockout win he took in his Amazon debut.

The 23-year-old knocked Nakrob out 52 seconds into the first round, in a result that we were genuinely surprised by.

He said in the same interview with Nick Atkin:

"It certainly surprised me. I thought it would go longer. I thought it would be an entertaining fight, trading punches, exchanging, but I thought it would be more exhausting for me. So, the first round KO was totally a surprise."
