Heading to ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, ONE atomweight contender Alyse Anderson has observed that Stamp Fairtex’s grappling is not as strong as her striking.
The Michigan-born fighter is en route to challenging Thai superstar Stamp Fairtex for a potential spot in the atomweight rankings on May 5 at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. Having had time to observe and watch some of Stamp’s earlier fights, Anderson has come to the conclusion that her rival isn’t as intimidating as she looks.
Speaking to ONE Championship, ‘Lil’ Savage’ said:
“I know she has a lot of power in her hands. But grappling-wise, I don’t think she has as much strength.”

Anderson’s jiu-jitsu skills are indeed one of her strongest weapons. She’s flexible on the ground and is almost seamless with her attacks.
That was evidenced by her last professional outing against Asha Roka. Anderson was knocked down by a big overhand but was able to secure a triangle choke when Roka overcompensated to finish the fight.
Full of surprises and with lots more to prove, Alyse Anderson is the epitome of perseverance and dedication. With the rigorous training she’s receiving at MMA Masters, ‘Lil’ Savage’ is mentally and physically prepared to surge past her competition and establish herself as a serious contender for the crown.
ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video will be broadcast live and for free for American audiences with an Amazon subscription on Friday, May 5.
Itsuki Hirata believes Alyse Anderson has it in her to beat Stamp Fairtex
Japanese superstar Itsuki Hirata, a former rival and fellow atomweight contender to Alyse Anderson, believes the American has what it takes to beat Stamp Fairtex.
At ONE: Empower, Hirata went three rounds with Anderson back in September 2021. As someone who was also used to winning fights by first-round submissions with her judo, Anderson gave Hirata a hard time with her proficiency in everything, from striking to submission grappling.
After a closely contested matchup, Hirata edged the win by decision. However, she can’t deny the threat Anderson will pose to Stamp if the fight gets to the ground.
Backing up her former rival, ‘Android 18’ told SCMP MMA:
“I feel Alyse Anderson is going to win this fight with her ground game. She can grapple very well, and maybe get an armbar or a triangle to win by submission.”
